A recently published Canon teaser for a new FF DSLR. Still no decent mirrorless to come :(

Many sites reported about a possible Canon medium format camera. But unlike those I got notice that there is no such medium format camera coming from Canon.

I know for certain that Fuji-Nikon and Sony are considering to make such a camera but we will see such cameras in stores as early as 2015 only.

But Canon no, they are focusing on FF for the next couple of years. But I don’t know if they will make a FF mirrorless any time soon…

Well, sometimes companies help us out doing our rumor work by un(?)intentionally leak out information in unexpected places:

Olympus latest financial report discloses the release time of the next three pro zoom (see picture on top).

Sony is showing the A5100 picture on an official Honk Kong press site. The camera will be announced n August 19 and feature the same A6000 sensor.

The heavy Sony stuff (Full Frame RX and maybe E-mount) will be announced right before Photokina!

We already know the new E-Pl7 PEN camera is coming soon. Today Olympus Japan invited Japanese journalists for a new PEN product launch event on August 30. New MFT PRO lenses like the 7-14mm, 300mm and 9mm lenses are supposed to be shown at the event too!

Digicameinfo spotted an image that shows the new Pentax Q-S1 in all his beauty…or ugliness depending on your taste :)

The camera will use the “usual” 1/1.7 inch sensor and be available in 36 different color combinations!

These are the first images of the new Pentax Q2 leaked by Digicameinfo. There are no specs yet but I am sure the camera will be announced within the next few days already!

This is really a wild rumor but I got it via some trusted source. He says that he “heard” about a new Nikon camera system that could be launched at Photokina. And the first camera will feature the current Sony 50MP medium format sensor used by all newest generation Hasselblad, Phase one and Pentax MF cameras!

Latest rumors coming via Fujirumors suggest the new X30 will keep the same sensor size as the current X20. Fuji is not going to increase the sensor size like Sony and Panasonic did. But the likely most disappointing news is that the X30 will get rid of the Optical Viewfinder and get a “simple” electronic viewfinder instead.

All that doesn’t really sound exciting to me. The Optical Viewfinder was a big feature that made stand out the X20. Don’t think the Fuji X30 can become a real challenger of the Sony RX series and the future 1 inch Panasonic LX8.
