Word on the street says Sony delayed the A7sIII launch because of high demand of the A7III
I don’t know how reliable that info is. But apprently the unofficial chatter at the Kando 2.0 event in California says that Sony had a huge and unexpected demand for the new Sony A7III. This forced Sony to delay the A7sIII launch.
What’s certain is that at the moment the A7III is still not in Stock in any US store.

Fuji XT100 to be announced on May 24
Fujirumors reports that there will be a new XT100 announcement on May 24. Specs:
- design similar to X-T20
- 24 Megapixel Bayer sensor
- Selfie Screen
- very affordable
Fuji will announce the new X-T100, Instax SQ6 within May 26
Fujirumors found the confirmation that both the Xt100 and SQ6 instant camera will be announced within May 26.
The rumored XT100 specs:

New Nikon patent discloses 20mm f/2.0 Full Frame lens design for curved sensors
The image above shows the sketch as disclosed by JP 2018-72638 (P2018-72638A).
The Japanses blog hi-lows-note.blog.so-net.ne.jp spotted another patent for a Nikon curved sensor. It describes the design for a 20mm f/2.0 Full Frame lens. I doubt the future Nikon mirrorless sytem camera will have a curved sensor.
Nikon financial report shows they missed their imaging business forecast
Nikon’s big step into the Full Frame mirrorless camera has still to happen and they better hurry. According to their latest financial report published today things don’t look that good. They missed their forecast for the imaging business due to missed sales volumes in the compact camera segment.
Revenue and profit is expected to keep going down in their 2019 forecast:

Tamron releases official statement to say 28-75mm FE preorders were much higher than expected
Preorders: The Tamron lens is now available for preorder at Amazon, BHphoto, BuyDig and Adorama. In Europe at Amazon DE and WexUK.
This morning Tamron Japan issued a statement confirming that preorders on the new 28-75mm FE preorders where much higher than expected. They apologize because this means many will haveto wait much longer than expected to get their lens.
And a good news for Sony: Dpreview declared the Sony A7III as the bext camera you can get for under $2000.
