New NEX-7 and NEX-5N leaks!

I guess we will not be surprised when Sony will announce the new NEX cameras on August 24 (yes next Wednesday).

On the same day there will be a Nikon announcement too. But there have been no leak of the cameras yet :(

Some tidbits about the upcoming Samsung NX200.

A phantasy Samsung NX200 designed by a SLRclub forum user.

A couple of sources gave me sent me some info about the upcoming Samsung NX200 that should be announced on September 5. The NX200 will be smaller than the actual NX100 (but not as small as the NEX-C3 or GF3). It has a less curved design and a small grip. Redcrow at Dpreview (Click here) wrote that the image you see on top is “They look very close from NX200 except no built-in flash and analog gauges. NX200 has its mount projected like NEX. The body is thinner than those pictures and bigger grip.“.

Reminder: Another sources told us the NX200 will have a 20 Megapixel sensor.

Some Nikon mirrorless tidbits (via Nikonrumors).

Unlike Sony Nikon isn’t leaking any bit fo info about their upcoming mirrorless cameras. Our friends over at Nikonrumors can give us only some bits of info about the camera:
There is a good chance that more than one version/model of the new mirrorless camera wil be announced at the same time
The camera body will be very small, very compact, with a clean industrial design
Built-in high resolution EVF
Many video features
Compatible with F-mount lenses
The sensor will be slightly smaller than Micro Four Thirds (probably 17mm in diameter, 2.6x crop factor)
Four lenses to be released, one of them will be a pancake, the second will be a super zoom
Phase and contrast-detect AF
Camera code/project name: X810

P.S.: My bet is that the camera will be called Nikon Coolpix Pro ;)

Triple leak shows all new NEX lenses coming from Sony!

Sony cannot keep one single secret! Now even full size images of the upcoming three NEX lenses have been leaked! Click on the images to enlarge. As I already told you the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 will cost around $999, the 55-210mm f/4-6.3 OSS will cost $299 and the 50mm f/1.8 OSS will cost $349.

There is also a nice size comparison (Thanks PaulPI!):

The new LA-EA2 adapter from Sony merges the two world (DSRL and Mirrorless)

Sony probably made the very first big step that will bring the DSLR world closer to the new Mirrorless system. The image here on top shows the upcoming new LA-EA2 adapter with built-in translucent mirror. This will allow you to use all A-mount lenses with fast phase detection autofocus on your NEX camera. Usually autotofucus speed was considered one of the main advantages of the DSRL system over the Mirrorless system. But the recent improvement made by Panasonic (with the ) and Olympus () and the new Sony adapter are closing the gap.
