Last superleak before the announcement: New Sony A7, A7r, RX10 and lens images

Images via Digicameinfo, Xitek, Xjiurumo.

These are the specs:

A7r:
– Lightest FF camera with interchangeable lens ever
– 36.4 MP
– gapless lens design on sensor (no AA filter)
– each on-chip lens is optimally positioned depending on its location to accommodate the sharper angle of light entering the periphery, which is caused by larger sensor dimensions being teamed with the E-mount’s short flange-back distance
– new BIONZ X image processing engine
– 14-bit RAW image
– ISO 100-25600 (with 50 ISO extension)
– Advanced 1200-zone evaluative metering
– 4fps (Max. 1.5fps, Speed Priority Continuous shooting)
– 1/8000 to 30sec shutter
– TRILUMINOS™ Color technology (color space)
– 1080 HD uncompressed, 60p/24p and 60i frame-rates. AVCHD and MP4 codec.
– 2.4M dot OLED EVF
– 25 points contrast AF
– +/- 5EV compensation
– tiltable 3.0” (1,229k dots) Xtra Fine™ LCD
– Multi-interface Shoe for flash
– PC control with remote video capture control
– Wi-Fi®/NFC control
– Playmemories App
– weight 465g (with battery and card)
– battery 1080 mAh for 340 shots (with LCD monitor always on!)
– weather sealed body

A7 (I do only list what’s different from the A7r):
– 24 MP (has AA filter)
– 117 points (phase-detection AF), 25 points (contrast-detection AF)
– 5fps (Max. 2.5fps, Speed Priority Continuous shooting)

Also the Panasonic GM1 leaks out in all his…smalliness :)

I know I just invented a new word (“smalliness”) to describe the Panasonic GM1 MFT camera. But this is an incredibly small camera! Sexy, slim, not a plastic toy like the GF series and finally really pocketable! And that 12-32mm lens is incredibly small. It has no PZ feature but the IQ is said to be very high. Camera and Lens will be announced on Thursday!

Here is the image of the Zeiss Sonnar 55mm f/1.8 FE lens for the A7-A7r

This is likely the one prime most of you will buy along the A7-A7r camera! And according to our source it will cost 1100 Euro exactly! Yep, it’s quite a huge lens and you would expect a f/1.4 aperture for that. But the lens has been designed with one precise goal in mind. Deliver the best possible sharpness and contrast on all apertures and on the full image area. Sounds good!

Sony A7-A7r Leica killer(?) leaks in his full beauty.

What I imagined to be a bad looking camera looks far better once you see these full size images of the soon to be announced A7 and A7r E-mount Full Frame cameras! DOn’t think these will be Leica killers but it’s definitely nice to have the possibility to grab a $1700 camera(!) instead of the $7000 Leica M.

.

Specs reminder: In case you are confused by the many rumors I posted lately here are the SR5 info on the cameras:
– A7 has 24 Megapixel sensor with Phase detecion AF
– A7r has 36 Megapixel with no on sensor Phase detection and no Anti Aliasing filter for maximum sharpness
– A7 body costs $1698 and $1998 with 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens. A7r costs $2198 body only.
– Both cameras have a fixed OLED EVF with 2,4 million dot resolution. It’s the same used by the Olympus E-M1
– AF speed is faster than the RX series.
– Takes SD cards and uses the NEX battery
– A7/A7r Body is weather sealed
– 1/8000 shutter speed
– titlable LCD screen
– focus peaking
– Built-in Wifi and NFC
– Playmemories Camera Apps
– The menu interface is the same as the RX series (and not the one used by NEX cameras).
– optional vertical grip
– New LAEA Full Frame A to E-mount adapter
– Current NEX APS-C lenses will work in crop mode or Full Frame mode (with heavy vignetting or dark corners)

New FE lenses:
Zeiss FE 24-70mm f/4.0 OSS
Sony G 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS
Zeiss FE 35mm f/2.8
Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8
Zeiss FE 70-200mm f/4.0 OSS (coming early 2014)
many more lenses coming the next 12 months (including fast primes).

RX10:

– $1298
