This is the new Panasonic L-mount lens roadmap

Today Panasonic released the new L-mount lens roadmap. Basically they added a few more info on some lenses present on the previous roadmap:

  • 24mm f/1.8
  • 50mm f/1.8
  • 85mm f/1.8
  • new fast wide angle zoom (compatible for astro photography)
  • new standard zoom
  • telephoto zoom

They removed the 100mm f/2.8 macro from the roadmap and Panasonic said this lens is “under consideration”. Panasonic also says the new f/1.8 primes have very high quality, impressive bokeh and are compact.

Sony announced this quite nice 20mm f/1.8 FE G lens

I hear your crying folks! No news about the A7sII successor or at leats the A7IV. I know this is upsetting. Still, once you get over the disappointment you can enjoy the newly announce 20mm f/1.8 FE G lens. This promises to be quite a hotseller. It’s basically an affordable version of the excellent 24mm GM lens. I know, it’s 4mm wider but the 20mm is a lot cheaper.
