While Sony was hooting a new commercial for the upcoming Soy NEX-5N a chinese Xitek forum user spotted the camera and took some pictures. To bad there was no sign about the NEX-7!

Based on the rumors floating around the web this could be the upcoming new mirrorless products. As you can see Sony will announce a huge ammount of cameras and lenses! As usual on the roadmap…Canon is missing!

According to three of our very trusted sources Samsung will finally announce the new NX200 compact camera on September the 5th! One of the sources said the camera looks a bit like the EX-1 compact camera. Another source told us that Samsung delayed the NX20 announcement from July to September because they wanted to implement a new 20 Megapixel sensor (instead of the rumored 18 Megapixel sensor).

Another source wrote: “It could be release on Android Market and Samsung Apps with the NX200 and would allow the NX camera control through the Android/Bada phones/tabs like the P&S SH100, so it could suggest the NX cameras would come with WiFi connection.“

Stay tuned! This is going to be a very hot rumor time (Sony, Nikon, Panasonic and Samsung will annoucne mirrorless “stuff”).

Thom Hogan (Click here) just posted new tidbits about the upcoming Nikon mirrorless camera: “‘I’ve now been told by three different sources it will launch before CES, probably in late September, and it’ll launch with three lenses (wide angle prime, kit zoom, telephoto zoom). The lenses are reportedly “quite small” in nature“.

As you know the sensor will be smaller than the one used for the Micro Four Thirds cameras. So it will be much easier to produce very small lenses. From the size point of view the new system looks very promising. But will the sensor be good enough?

Will there be a sort of interchangeable camera?

Leica UK’s Richard Swan gave some very vague tidbits about the future Leica mirrorless (non rangefinder!) system. He talked with the guys over at Techradar (Click here) saying that the camera will fall between the compact X1 and the full-frame M9. And: “Swan expected that any future interchangeable lens cameras from Leica would be compatible with M-mount lenses. As the X1 uses a fixed prime 24mm lens, perhaps we could see an X1 styled camera with removable lenses.“. We can speculate with a price range somewhere in between 2.000 and 3.000 Euro.

In a previous interview Kaufmann (the big chief from Leica) confirmed the new system will at least sue an APS-C sensor (if not larger) and be announced at Photokina 2012 (in September).

One of our readers made a correct translation of the russian NX200 rumor:
“I have used a Samsung NX200 today: my first impressions are very positive. The AF is very fast indeed (in nothing inferior to Panasonic G3). NX200 looks stylishly and professionally, it is also appreciably more copact, the grip is more comfortable, although a bit too small for my hands. The screen is traditionally good. With respect to design I like it best of the whole Samsung collection (the NX100 is a far cry from the NX200). Together with the new 18–200 lens it looks quite solid. I could not still evaluate the image quality as I had a preproduction sampler in hand. I to get a production item in two weeks and hope to be able to compare it to (Sony) NEX, G3 and D7000.
The 18-200 is expected to have the best price among branded lenses of its class compared to its DSLR and mirrorless rivals (I am speaking about Canon/Nikon/Sony, not Sigma/Tamron/Tokina), this making the kit noticeably more competitive. The price of a Sony 18-200 discourages many potential buyers (the size of the Samsung lens being practically the same).“
