“Artificial Intelligence” finds your mirrorless stuff on eBay :)

If you like me are a daily eBayer you will know very well that it’s quite a challenge to find the right stuff you are looking for. Most of the results you get when searching for a camera or lens are complete non sense or unwanted. Now a programer named “Andreas” created a website called Mirrorless-deals.com (Click here) that does the magic to sort out the right results from the huge ebay database. Example:

Panasonic Lumix search, Olympus PEN camera search, Nikon 1 lenses, Sony NEX cameras and so on and so on…

There is a complex algorithm running behind it that is capable of sorting out the right results for every mirrorless camera and lens. It’s still in Beta Stage only but it really works! Impressive! I guess more features will be added in future so feel free to check out the website and send them your features suggestions.

The full RX100 review roundup (and Gariz leather case sexiness).

We really love mirrorless system cameras but if you you look for a camera having an almost DSLR quality in an almost compact camera size than the Sony RX100 may be the best camera availble now. And there are tons of reviews on the web and the reaction is extremely positive. I think the Sony RX100 may be one of the best new camera products of the year! Don’t know if Sony was aware that they just made a topseller camera! So it’s time to give you a short roundup of all important RX100 reviews. But before take a look at that sexy tiny new Gariz leather case for the RX100. It has been announced a couple of days ago and you can already buy it on eBay:

Top reviews:
Photoclubalpha: “At the best – ISO 80 to 125, stopped down just one full step from full aperture – the RX100 can match or better the typical output of a 21 megapixel full frame DSLR with 24-105mm lens.
Photographyblog: “The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 is the first truly pocketable camera to offer a DSLR experience, and in that regard it could almost be seen as something of a bargain – it’s certainly deserving of our highest Essential! accolade.
Steve Huff: “In my hand the camera feels small but solid with a nice build. If it did have an EVF it would be flat-out my dream pocket cam.
Cnet Asia: “The svelte shooter offers reliable programmed modes, customizable buttons, fast autofocus performance and good image quality packed in a sleek chassis which may appeal to enthusiasts and beginners alike. This is why we chose to award the RX100 our CNET Asia Editor’s Choice.
Outbackphoto tested the RX100 RAW and Lens distortion.
Luminous Landscape (Click here): “The summary judgement for me is that the new Sony RX100 is hands-down the most appealing pocket-sized digital camera yet.” It’s again a must read article!
EosHD (Click here) posted a full RX100 review: “If you haven’t yet entered the DSLR video world, the RX100 is capable of similar results in video mode and even a similar standard of stills. This is amazing and I cannot believe we’re talking about a pocket camera.
Techradar: “Sony has produced a truly great camera that should also appeal to anybody wanting to trade up from a mobile phone or budget compact camera.

Nikon J2 coming mid August….

Nikonrumors reports that Nikon will announce a new Nikon J1 successor in mid August (the J2). There will be also some new mirrorless accessories, including an underwater housing and a new slimmer standard zoom. The j2 should only bring some minor improvements over the J1.

But I don’t think that’s all. I also heard about a possible high-end Nikon 1 model coming at Photokina. Anyway, right now I would be curious to know if Nikon is happy with their Nikon 1 system. Now that Canon came out with a similar sized camera having a much larger sensor size (and better image quality).

Sony: Two NEX cameras and three new NEX lenses in September. Oly: Four m43 cameras in one year.

We have a new bunch of rumors about Sony and Olympus!

Sony first: There will be two new NEX cameras in September, a new NEX-5F and another completely new NEX camera that will be the first of it’s series. Sadly we are not talking about a Full Frame NEX. I write sadly because this is what I am looking for :) Anyway, there will be also three new NEX lenses, two pancake zooms, the 16-50 and 11-18mm lenses and a new fast prime.

And now Olympus: We already know two new PEN cameras are coming soon (E-PM2 and E-PL5). But there will be a new OMD and another mysterious m43 camera coming in winter-spring 2012-2013. No news yet about the possible new Oly lenses…

You like that coming stuff?

X-Pro1 Diopters, new X200 coming soon.

LIke other manufactors also FUji will announce plenty of new cameras and lenses at Photokina in September. And you can bet on it that one of the new cameras will be the X200. The current X100 is getting massive discounts in many stores (Example -$200 at BHphoto) and it even got a “discontinued” mark in some of them. Meantime we had a new (samll) Fuji X PRO 1 announcement. Here it is:

Fujifilm has announced that it will introduce Diopter Correction Lenses as an accessory for the X-Pro1.
Fujifilm is developing its own brand of Diopter Correction Lenses to accommodate near and far sighted customers who use the X-Pro 1 camera.
The Fujifilm Diopter Correction Lenses will enable these customers to view and enjoy the X-Pro1 Hybrid Multi Viewfinder more effectively.
Manufactured in Japan, Fujifilm’s specially designed 19mm Diopter Correction Lenses are packaged individually in the following six strengths:  +3, +2, +1, -1, -2, -3.
Lens strength is expressed as diopters whereby the higher the diopter, the stronger the lens. The plus (+) or minus (-) sign before the diopter strength indicates the type of lens.
Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Imaging, Daniel Paul, said the new Diopter Correction Lenses will be a handy and practical accessory for those X-Pro1 customers with prescription glasses.
“The Diopter Correction Lenses will help to improve focus when capturing photos using the Fujifilm X-Pro1,” Mr Paul said.
They are expected to be available in August 2012.
