Fuji X-E1 news and test roundup! Matches FF DSLR quality!

It’s time for a focus on the new Fuji X-E1 that is being delivered in these days in EU and US too.

EVF videos:
You really have to check out the video posted by Apw100 on youtube. It shows you the performance of the new X-E1. Let’s see if you will still miss the hybrid viewfinder of the X PRO 1 after watching these :)

X-E1 against the rest of the world (on par with FF DSLR?):
The Spanish friends from DSLRmagazine (translation here) compared the image quality of the new X-E1 against the Full Frame Nikon D600 and Canon 5DmarkIII. Just check out the comparison image (Click here). And guess what? The Fuji is pretty damn close to both of them!
Also the Chinese website pcpop.com posted some comparisons:
Here you can see the comparison between the X-PRO1, X-E1 and NEX-7 (see the pictures here).
The next comparison is between the X-E1 and the D600. Take a look at the JPEGs of these cameras (click here).

The X-E1 in Stock status:
Europe at Amazon UK, Amazon DE and of course on eBay (Click here to see auctions).
USA at Amazon US (overpriced via third party reseller) and via worldwide eBay stores.

X PRO 1 with Minolta lens test:
There is one more interesting news to report. If you want to see how good Minolta lens will work on your X camera than check out this post on Fujirumors!

Small news: Canon EOS-M double kit.

You are not going to jump for joy for this but Canon US just released the new Canon EOS-M double kit lens package you can already available at Adorama. It was already available in Asia (here on Slidoo eBay).

Speaking of Asia…to be precise Japan. At BCNranking you can check out the latest week top system camera sales. You will notice that actually the cheapest mirrorless cameras are top sellers in the mirrorless segment. There is even the Pentax Q camera that sells like a hotcake :)

The Nikon news roundup (financial results, DxOmark, V2 test and more)

It’s time to look a bit more into some new Nikon 1 related news!

Let’s start with a deal on refurbished J1 camera at Cameta (now $259 only). As you know it has been replaced by the J2 but the DxOmark sensor test demonstrates that there is no real image quality improvement on the newer model. And image samples of the new V2 model have been posted by the Russian Prophoto site. The surprise comes from the Nikon Q2 financial report that showed that the new DSLRs and Nikon 1 are selling well in face of the economic crisis (Engadget). I may underestimated Nikon’s capacity to sell the Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras :)

EOS-M shipping in US. RX100 is camera invention of the year (according to Time)

The EOS-M is back in Stock at Amazon US (via third party reseller). And this helped to push the EOS on the top position of the popularity ranking (CLick here). But guess who became the camera invention of the year according ot the Time magazine? It is the Sony RX100! Check out the full best 2012 invention list. You can find many sometimes very funny stuff!

P.S.: I got the news that the EOS-M Gariz case release has been delayed to early 2013! Reaosn si that Gariz wants to push the Fuji X-E1 case first. There is already a case for the RX100 (Click here).
