    “Invention” haha

Someone is going to “invent” a sliced bread tomorrow to try to make it to the next year’s Time list. :-)

    • GreyOwl

Time to call TIME! on TIME. :-)

  • Camaman

Wow that must have cost Sony a lot of kickback$ somewhere beneath the radar.

  • Sergio

From TFA it says the RX100 bridges the gap between P&S and Pro DSLR. Time must mean a small span of that long bridge on the P&S side of the river was not completed until 2012 and the RX100. Um, okay. If your say so.

Controls and ergonomics wise there were real bridge cameras already even before cheap entry level consumer DSLRs.
And that sensor size was first used in Nikon 1, whose sensor wasn’t even made by Sony but Aptina.

Just another award for fooling weak minded consumer sheeples.

RX100 was the innovation of the year, no doubt.

It’s a tiny pocket camera with a bright zoom, but it has a sensor that is is 4 times larger than Canon S100.

Nikon V1 doesn’t compare with RX100. That’s not a pocket camera with a zoom lens.

The rx 1 is a waste of time a resources ot make a dead end camera most cant even afford.
