The US deal of the month: Sony RX100 for $329 and $280 off on the Panasonic GH4.

Sometimes there are Deals that are really worth to be posted here. Today you can grab the Sony RX100 for $329 only(!) at eBay US (Click here). That’s not a refurbished or open box or grey imported camera. That’s a brand new item and also marked deal of the day on eBay.

And there is also a first major price drop on the Panasonic GH4 which now sells with a $280 off at eBay US (Click here).

This is Panasonic’s prediction of how much Mirrorless will growth by 2016!

Panasonic showed two interesting slides at their Tokyo GM5/LX100 presentation event (Source: DC.watch). The one on top shows you how much Mirrorless will growth compared to the DSLR market. Panasonic expects worldwide mirrorless share to be 34% of all system cameras. Panasonic is known for their very reliable and non exaggerated financial forecasts (Source: Bloomberg). Therefore I believe their mirrorless forecast is also founded on a solid and realistic approach.

They do not expect Mirrorless to “boom” or quickly eat up the DSLR market. It’s more a of a slow process.

The second slide shows the progress on the German market. Here it’s interesting to see that Germany is one of the few “western” countries where mirrorless is growing fast. End of May 2014 41% of the system cameras sold in Germany were mirrorless!

As we all know the most “conservative” market yet is USA. But this will change in time too..

Sony “silently” introduced the curved sensor on the KW1. Curved Full Frame RX coming soon!

The first curved sensor camera is that “Selfie” Sony KW1 camera made for the Asian market.

A couple of months ago Sony announced that they had two curved sensors ready fro mass production. The first one is made for compact cameras and Mr.Aoki just confirmed the “weird” KW1 selfie camera is the first one using that!

The second curved sensor is Full Frame and now it’s really easy to guess it’s coming very soon! This should be the long time rumored Full Frame RX with 30+ Megapixel curved sensor and fixed lens 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss!
