TCSTV’s Best and Worst Cameras of 2014 (Sony rules, Canon not)

I am pretty sure soon Canon and Nikon will wake up from their conservative lethargy and strike back with their huge power. But for this year the title of best cameras on the market still goes to Sony and Panasonic mirrorless cameras. At least according to the yearly Chris&Jordan best cameras of the year list :)

Updated Samsung NX400 specs: Will compete against the Sony A6000!

Current NX300 vs A6000 (CameraSize).

Redcrow and SamsungCameraRumors are spilling out info about the next Samsung NX400 camera that should be announced in January/February.

– Same 28MP NX1 sensor
– Same NX1 autofous system
– Built-in EVF
– smaller buffer than nx1 but triple than nx300.
– 4K recording (although not 100% sure yet)
– no weather sealed body
– Price around $900 with kit lens.

Those features would push the NX400 in direct competition with the Sony A6000. But if the price gets confirmed it’s quite above the $798 you spend now for the A6000 double lens kit!

Up to $200 off on Panasonic lenses. And super deal on the Sony A6000.

Olympus E-M5II has same E-M5 sensor.

Olympus is going the Canon route and will keep “re-using” the same sensor on the newer generation cameras. The E-M5II will get the same E-M5 sensor without PDAF.

But still, Olympus will add the sensor shift shooting feature that will allow you to take 40 megapixel pictures by combining 8 pictures shot in rapid succession.
