(Low credibility rumor):

CanonEOSM

Canon officially said they will have some “mirrorless news” in October. But if that rumor from Canonrumors turns out to be true than our expectations should be really…looooooow! CR says the camera will be a new entry level EOS-M camera. I really do hope it’s not! Please Canon…get serious! We need a High End EOS-M

found via Canonwatch.

Here is what’s coming from Canon (a lot) and Fuji (just a lens) in October!

Only one month to go to the big PhotoPlus show! And if you wonder what “mirrorless stuff” is coming from Canon and Fuji read here:

Canon:
CanonWatch summed up what we can expect to be announced by Canon in October:
– EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM.
– New EF-M prime lens.
– Canon itself also hinted they have something “major” to be announced on the mirrorless front. Maybe a new EOS-M4?

Fuji:
There is little to tell about Fuji. According to Fujirumors all we will get from Fuji is that:
– The 1.4x Tele-Converter.
– The weather sealed XF 35mmF2.

Good news: Samsung says rumors are not true. They will stay in the camera business.

Samsung gave an official answer to Imaging Resource about the rumor posted by Korean Journal “NewsTomato” saying Samsung is quitting out of the camera business. Samsung said:

Withdrawing from the camera business is not true and there is no official plan to stop production of cameras and lenses. Samsung continuously analyzes the varying needs and requirements of consumers in each market and region very carefully. However, we do not officially comment on rumors or speculation.

Good! Now let’s hope we will see some new NX cameras and lenses soon that can make the NX system even more attractive :)
