Egami spotted a brand new Canon patent describing a massive 600mm f/5.6 IS lens deisgned for the EOS-M cameras. Just for fun this is what the EOS-M3 looks like on the 600mm f/4.0 II USM lens.
Fujirumors was spot on with their X70 rumors as the camera name has been officially registered at enotth.com.cn (Chinese public agency, via Digicameinfo). Such registration is required for wifi-bluetooth capable devices that will be sold on the chinese market.
The X70 is rumored to have a X-TransII 16MP sensor and a 28mm lens.
Today Fuji made a nice present to X-T1 owners and released the new 4.20 firmware update (download and info here).
A not so nice present has been announced by Sony: For unknown reasons they stopped the RX1RII sales (Source: Sony Japan). And they cannot give us any clue about when they will resume sales.

It looks like the long time rumored PEN-F could arrive a bit sooner than expected. Olympus registered the camera in Taiwan (see images spotted by Digicameinfo). And as we know Olympus has a major press conference on January 6th. This means we may will get the new PEN-F on that day!
What is a PEN-F? Easy answer, a PEN with an integrated viewfinder!

The CES show starts on January 6th in Las Vegas. What new stuff can we expect from the mirrorless world? Not a lot also because the important CP+ photo show is taking place end of February:
Sony:
Sony will certainly announce a new Action Camera and new Handycams at CES. But so far we got no word about a possible A6xxx. Looks like we will get the camera at CP+ (and so the new FE lenses).
Panasonic:
It’s unclear if Panasonic will officially announce the 100-400mm Leica lens pricing at CES. But for sure there wont be any new MFT camera. The new Panasonic GF 4K camera will be announced at CP+
Fuji:
Fuji will announce the X-Pro2 and the new lenses AFTER the CES show on January 15.
Olympus:
Olympus will announce the new 300mm PRO lens on January 6th. New PEN-F will be announced at Cp+
Samsung:
Samsung is focusing on “emerging camera” markets. And they may hint their new camera business at CES. Maybe a sort of interchangeable smartphone-camera?
Nikon-Canon:
No news so far from those big guys.
