New Hasselblad X1D review at Bloomberg: “a worthy long-term investment to make”
Image above: The X1D fist perfectly inside the Camslinger bag (Just to show how small it is!).
Bloomberg posted a full X1D review written by Photographer Keith E. Morrison:
For your general photo enthusiast, the price tag still may put the camera out of reach. But for any pro who shoots an array of subject matter, this may be a worthy long-term investment to make. My Mamiya 7 could officially have some competition for the title of favorite camera if AF points were expanded a bit and the battery life were extended. The camera is an extremely lightweight and versatile piece of tech that further challenges the idea of where and when digital medium format should be used.

This graph shows you the decline of the camera industry :(
You will find more statistics at Statista
This week the Spanish website Quesabesde announced it’s closure due the declining revenues. The camera website simply did get no more money (via ADS) from camera manufacturers to run the website.
And the graph posted above by Statista shows clearly that the camera industry is facing a terrible time. Sooner or later more manufacturers will drop out the business just like Samsung did. I am wondering who is the next on the list…
First (bogus?) Fuji GFX pricing in Vietnam: $8,500 with kit lens
A Vietnamese store listed the Fuji GFX with kit lens for a 189.900.000 VND which is around $8,500. I am pretty sure this isn’t the real final price. All we know from Fuji is that Body and Lens will indeed sell for less than $10,000.
