In 2022 Sony might announce three new E-mount cameras. Here they are….
According to SonyAlphaRumors we will get three new E-mount cameras in 2022:
- The Sony A9II
- The Sony A7RV
- A new “unknown” model
Any idea what this “unknown” model might be?
New metalens focuses light with ultra-deep holes
Metalenses have the potential to revolutionize the lens market. Suddenly you can get rid of the complex multi glass design by using just one thin sheet of metalens. A new step forward has been made thanks to the introduction of tiny deep holes that help you to focus the image.

Panasonic China teases a new event for November 9th
For sure we will get the new new LUMIX S 35mm f/1.8 lens on this day. It’s unclear if there will be more stuff…like for example some GH6 related news.

Canon EOS R1 to be announced in 2022 to compete against the Nikon Z9
PetaPixel reports about the nw R1 coming in 2022. Specs might be something like this:
45+ megapixels, 8K video recording at various framerates, and a price somewhere north of the R3’s $5,999
CanonWatch writes the camera might be releases in Q3 2022 and that the Canon EOS R1 will incorporate technology that will “let all competitors behind“.
This would mean it’s better than the new Nikon Z9. Nice if true…but one year is still a long time to go before we see it in real!
