Digicameinfo said the next new Sony lens will be a 50mm f/1.4 GM. Not that we really needed another 50mm lens in the E-mount range. But you got to understand their current Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 option is very “old” and it needed to get a decent update!

Yosuke Yamane from Panasonic say the future is for compact cameras, video and AI editing

- Micro Four Thirds has a bright future among wildlife photographers and younger people that want to step up from smartphone photography
- Video will be very important on mirrorless cameras
- There is a demand for very compact Full Frame cameras
- AI implementation has to go beyond the autofocus feature. Example: AI editing
Canon says the RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM will be released from January 26.
Canon Japan said the new 135mm L lens will start shipping out on January 26. Because of the time zone difference it will be January 25 in the USA (see BHphoto).
