First image of the Canon 11-22mm lens!

Our friends from Digicaminfo found that image  of the new Canon EOS-M Canon 11-22mm lens. The lens will be announced very soon. And it seems there will be no new EOS-M camera yet depsite the huge deals running on the current camera (). What are you waiting for Canon?

P.S.: massive new mirrorless deals and mroe posted on DealsRunner.com.

Did Leica fool us?

Leica posted a new Teaser and a message on Facebook: “Only one week left: Get a hands-on experience at our Leica Authorized Dealers on June 11 when all will be revealed about the newest Leica family member, including its larger than usual sensor for its relatively small body.

As I told you the day I posted the image, there is only one way the rumor could not be true. And that is that Leica made a marketing campaign by spreading false rumor deliberately around the world. If true this would be the first time a company does it. And in my opinion a very clever strategy! :)

New Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM to be announced soon .

According to trusted sources at Digicaminfo Canon will soon announce a new EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens. This will have a 55mm filter size and be an overall very compact lens. There is still no hint about a possible new EOS-M camera. Canon seems to not feel any hurry in pushing their mirrorless M system. I think that is going to be a huge mistake. They are letting Fuji, Sony and MFT playing the main roles. The world is changing Canon….wake up!

Give up your hope Leica fans :)

People still send me mails insisting that the Leica Mini M rumor has to be wrong. They don’t believe that:
1) Leica names a camera “Mini M” and it doesn’t have a rangefinder system (M usually stays for Messucher)
2) The Leica teaser placed the new Leica Mini M between the M series and the X series. Suggesting this would be something more advanced like for example a FF fixed lens camera or a Messsucher with ASP-C sensor.
3) The lens cannot be that slow: f/3.5-6.4

Guys, sorry to tell you, It’s a real deal :(

Fuji X-A1 entry level system camera has tilt screen.

Fujirumors got some more tibits about the two new Fuji X cameras coming this summer. As I told you before both are entry level system cameras having no viewfinder. The main difference will be the sensor. One has an X-Trans sensor while the other has not. One camera (we don’t know which one) will be announced soon in late June and the other one in late August-early September.

According to FR sources the X-Trans sensor camera will be named X-A1 and have a tilt screen. That would be the first X system camera having it!

Still, it really sounds surprising Fuji comes with two entry level cameras!
