The new Samsung NX1 will somehow remind us of this old Mamiya 6.

An anonymous source (Thank You!) sent us the following info about the new High End APS-C NX1 camera that will be announced in September at Photokina. This is what we can expect:

Body looks like mamiya 6 (big rangefinder with grip).
New EVF with highest res on market and new technology.
Sensor with 28MP. No isocell, but improved dr. Best performance on the market at high iso.
New user interface based on newer tizen. Big touch screen but plenty of physical controls.
Continuous af up to 10fps with focus tracking enabled, second gen OSPDAF with more af points than a6000.
Presentation around sep 2014, availability nov 2014.
Splash + dust proof.
Price 1300$ body only.
Kit with 1650 zoom 2300$.

In summary: Best sensor, best EVF, best AF. Sounds like a possible game changer!

The fancy looking (but damn good performer) Sigma DP2 Quattro release has been delayed according to sources from Sigma-Rumors.

Meantime Fujirumors reports that the new 18-135mm XF zoom could be announced on June 19.

Fuji will soon release a new XF 35mm f/1.4 There will be no optical change but a hardware improvement on the autofocus mechanism.

It’s also likely that the lens will be announced on June 19 when Fuji will have the big announcement day.

Well, let’s hope this isn’t just a marketing gag by Fuji France because their flyer promises quite a lot!

Fuji says they will launch a “vast operation never heard-of in the photography world“ for June 19th.

Better you keep your promise Fuji France!!! :)

Let’s catch up with some lens rumors:

1) Fuji is likely going to announce a XF 90mm f/2.0 lens in late 2014 or early 2015 at max (Source: Fujirumors).

2) Olympus will soon announce the $1,799 expensive and high quality 7-14mm f/2.8 MFT lens (Source: 43rumors).

P.S.: A major bunch of FE lenses will be announced in late August by Sony. But still no specs available yet…

Hybrid viewfinder lovers will be happy to hear that Fuji is likely going to announce a new X-PRO2 and X200 camera at Photokina in September. Both will feature a new APS-C X-Trans sensor. No guys, these will not be organic sensors (they will come in two years from now).

The specs of the cameras are yet unkown. But before the two big guys Fuji will also announce the new X30 compact camera with 1 inch sensor.

Really a great time for Fuji fans!

In an interview released at Amateur Photographer Leica didn’t rule out the possibility to launch a Full Frame Leica T version sometimes in the future.

To be realistic I don’t think this will happen any time soon. Leica still has to consolidate the Leica T lens range and focus on the marketing of the camera. But with more and mroe mirrorless FF cameras coming from 2015 towards Leica may be “forced” to launch a FF Leica-T version too!
