Stephen Sanderson (Pentax UK product co-ordinator) confirms that Pentax could soon release a mirrorless camera. In an interview on Amateur Photographer he said: “‘It’s quite clear that we don’t want to be seen as the same as everyone else. We would go down a different route.‘”
According to unreliable sources (CR1) from Canonrumors the mirrorless “Canon will use an APS-H (1.3x crop) sensor.”
My opinion? FAKE!
Leicarumors received a new hint “We will see a full frame Leica EVIL on Photokina 2010. It will look like the Leicaflex 18X24 prototype. Of course without mirror or the film lever and so on. It will be a VERY small system camera, but there will be a big battery grip you can use“
Amateur Photographer spotted a statement of a Canon officer which told on “Photo Trade Express” that
“Canon is proceeding with the development of a mirror-less interchangeable lens camera to compete against models launched by Panasonic, Olympus and Samsung.”
