The coming days we will get some new stuff:
On April 5 Zeiss will announce the new Batis 135mm f/2.8 FE lens that comes with in lens stabilization (Image via SonyAlphaRumors)
And around the same days Canon will announce the new SX730HS super zoom compact camera (Image via Nokishita).
Yeah I know: It’s April 1 today. But the news we spotted today got posted on March 31. We can only hope Armdevices didn’t try to fool us by posting it one day earlier to make it sound more credible. They posted a video which for a short moment displays Sony’s medium format sensor roadmap. It says:
1) New 100MP 44x33mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Fuji GFX and X1D)
2) New 150MP 55x41mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Phase One 100XF).

What are the next two cameras from Sony and Fuji? SAR reports that Sony could introduce the Sony As7III in April while Fujirumors reports the X-E3 is due for a launch this fall.
So Fuji for once will have a 6 months pause where they will probably evaluate the GFX impact. Sony on the other side might be a bit more busy with the A7sIII and probably a new A7III announcement this year.
Leica registered a new camera model with the code “5370”. From the size of the camera (see specs list below) and the battery it uses (BP-DC13) this must be a new Leica TL camera.

On April 23 Sony could announce the following new stuff:
Sony also registered another new camera code in Asia. We don’t know yet if this is a new RX camera or maybe a new A5300….
Nokishita spotted a list of new camera registrations. The cameras are registered in Asia with certain codes to hide the camera name. But in some cases we already know what these are going to be. The probably biggest news for us is that Sony will announce a new Sony FF E-mount camera in April which I guess will be a new A7sIII:
