I hear (thanks) that the Fujifilm X-T3 will shoot at 20fps in continuous high (CH), and even faster in crop mode.

If true this would make it a mini-Sony A9 for less than half of the price! Photokina is going to be exciting for Fuji lovers:)

A source sent us these first images of the new Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4.0 lens. UPDATE: The lens comes for Canon and Nikon and the full press release can be found here (via Nokishita).

Olympus will skip this years Photokina and not announce any new camera. But we know from very reliable sources that Olympus will announce a new high-end model camera in very early 2019 (probably in February).

This will be Olympus most advanced camera ever. Even more high-end than the E-M1II. What’s intriguing is that with Canon and Nikon FF mirrorless coming Olympus will have to really offer something exceptional to grab some attention!

Dronedj spotted some new images and specs of the new Mavic 2. The listing in the catalog provides us with some details about the new foldable drone. It says:

The new DJI Mavic 2 will apparently come in two versions:

• The DJI Mavic 2 Pro with 1-inch CMOS sensor Hasselblad camera
• The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom with 2x optical zoom (24mm – 48mm)

The new DJI Mavic 2 will have:

• A top speed of 45mph vs. 40 mph for the original Mavic Pro
• 31-minute flight time vs. 27 minutes for the original Mavic Pro
• 1080p OcuSync video transmission for up to 5 miles
• Omnidirectional obstacle sensing with APAS
• Active Track 2.0
• Dolly Zoom (zoom version only)

Nikon confirmed the August 23 announcement date and launched that countdown page. There is also a new teaser image showing the classic red mark on the HUGE grip:

Canonwatch reports:

We got another suggestion Canon will announce their first full frame mirrorless camera before the end of 2018. Currently, our best sources suggest an announcement in the second week of September 2018.

Let’s see if Canon can take away the spotlight from the new Nikon FF…
