Still a long time to ge until we will see a new Sony A1II :(

Leica and Panasonic both have registered a new high end model in China. I bet those will be the SL3 and S1RII. Here are some rumored specs!

CameraBeta claims to know that the G100II is coming soon. It says the camera will have the following specs:

• 25.2MP Live MOS Micro Four Thirds Sensor
• 779-Point Phase-Detection AF System
• 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-Bit Video Recording
• Single UHS-II SD Slots

There is a fair chance Sony might unveil the A9III on or around November 7. But when it comes to the possible specs we are still sitting in the dark. First totally wild rumors are saying it might be looking like this:

• Nearly same A1 body
• 33-36MP sensor
• no 8K
• 40fps 12 bit RAW
• 30fps 14 bit RAW

Panasonic now has a total of TWO cameras registered in China. Usually it takes up to a couple of months until registered models get officially announced:

• Camera “P2303A” has dual 5.1/2.4GHz support indicating it’s a mode advanced model (Could be GH7 or SR1II)
• Camera “P2301A” has 2.4GHz support “only” which indicates this is a more entry level model (Could be fixed lens camera or entry level MFT or some BG video model)

CanonRumors reports that the R1 will finally be announced in Q1. Right in time to be used at the Tokyo Summer Olympics. But Sony is likely to beat the Canon timing by announcing the A9III sports photography camera in early November. This would give A9III owners more time to master the camera…maybe an advantage for Sony?

Sony might be not done with camera announcements this year. There is a fair chance the A9III will be announced at this year big Sony Creative Space Event in NYC. The event kicks off on November 8th.
