Canon quietly registered three new camera models in Asia—new launches are clearly coming.

Canon has registered three cameras in Asia:

  • Wi-Fi 6 flagship model : While not officially registered, it has been confirmed to have flagship-class peripheral specifications. Based on current trends, it is speculated to be either the EOS R5C II, EOS R3 II, or EOS R7 II (highly unlikely).
Another possibility is that it could be the first non-flagship camera equipped with this technology, as flagship-class devices and next-generation processors become more common.
  • DS126904 : It has not been clear for a long time since the registration. It is speculated that it may be the EOS R7 II, EOS R5C II, EOS R5V, or EOS R6V.
  • DS126936 : This is the latest product listing, and it could be released as early as early winter next year. It’s likely to include the EOS R7 II, EOS R6V, retro-style EOS RF camera, and PowerShot V3.

Canon will soon announce a new High End camera!

Canon has officially registered a new camera in China, and all signs point to it being a high-end model. The registration lists dual-band Wi-Fi 6 support — a feature Canon typically does not include in its entry-level or mid-range cameras. It takes up to 3-4 months until a registered camera gets officially announced!

But what could it be?

  • The new camera could be the flagship Canon EOS R1 or the Canon EOS R5 Mark II. It might even turn out to be the Canon EOS R5C Mark II, possibly without 8K and oversampled 4K60 recording.
  • It could also relate to new decentralized wireless specifications. Wi-Fi 6 is still uncommon in Canon cameras. With the recent release of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III, it’s uncertain whether future models such as a potential Canon EOS R6C, Canon EOS R7 Mark II, or Canon EOS R8 Mark II will adopt these updated wireless capabilities.
  • A video-oriented Canon EOS R3C is another possibility. The LC1720 sensor supports a wide range of applications. A redesign could include adding CFe Type A/B card slots like the Canon C80 and improving codec options in a body more similar to the Canon C50. However, converting the R3 body into a dedicated video machine seems unlikely, making this scenario less probable.

DJI’s First L-Mount Camera? Leaked Teaser Raises Eyebrows!

Until now, I honestly believed the rumors about a DJI full-frame mirrorless camera were nothing more than wild speculation. But today, two new hints surfaced — and they’re hard to ignore:

1. The Leaked Teaser

A well-known DJI influencer briefly shared a teaser for an upcoming DJI event on September 15. One of my readers managed to grab a quick (and rough) screenshot before it disappeared.
There’s not much to see, but the teaser’s vibe clearly hints at interchangeable lenses — and you can even spot the silhouette of what looks like a boxy FX3-style cine camera.

2. The YouTube Tester Clue

A German YouTuber recently posted a hands-on video with a new cine camera — but here’s the twist: he says it’s not from Canon, and the camera body is completely blurred out.

What isn’t hidden, though, is the Viltrox PL-to-L mount adapter he’s using — which strongly suggests this is an unreleased, ultra-compact L-mount cine camera.
Sure, it could be a new Panasonic… but what if it’s DJI?

While I’m still a bit skeptical, I have to admit I’m starting to take this a lot more seriously. And if it turns out to be true, this could be great news for the entire camera industry — because DJI entering the game would absolutely shake things up and force the traditional Japanese giants to push their innovation forward.

Here are the rumored DJI mirrorless camera specs:

  • Full Frame L-mount cine camera
  • Cine focused
  • Integrated viewfinder just like this Sony model (but less pronounced)
  • Hasselblad X2DII Color science and ICON menu
  • Announcement on September 15, 8am EST time

Blurred images of the new Canon C50, Nikon Zr or DJI?

A German youtuber shared those images of a blurred new camera that could be the Canon C50, Nikon Zr, or maybe that crazy rumored DJI? The only thing we learn from this is that the camera has a fully articulating screen :)

UPDATE: The Youtuber said it’s not a Canon.  So there is a 99% chance this is the NIkon Zr and a 1% chance this is a DJI.

Canon C50 specs:

  • 32 megapixel Full Frame sensor
  • Open Gate
  • Sony FX3 alike design
  • to be announced on September 9 at 3pm Berlin time

Thanks to the tipster!

Canon Cine camera and R6III (?) to be announced soon!

Canon just launched a teaser for the new Cine E-mount compact camera launch!

Something new is coming!
Watch our YouTube Premiere launch event from 9 September 2025 at 3pm CEST. Set a reminder today!

I know a source testing this and he said the camera is impressive and will beat the ass of the Sony FX3.

Two more big rumors:

And finally, the long-rumored Canon R6 III is set to arrive — likely on or just before September 15! According to Jan Wegener, the camera will feature a 30+ megapixel sensor that is neither partially nor fully stacked. While this may mean it won’t offer the fastest performance, excellent image quality is definitely expected.

Canon OES  R6 MArk III rumored/speculated specs:

  • 30.3 or 33MP sensor (non-stacked)
  • Possibly no top LCD (like R6 II), but new flexible rear screen
  • RAW pre-capture, improved AF
  • Likely 20–30 fps burst
  • New battery type (older batteries may limit features)
  • Possibly one CFexpress Type B + one SD, or dual SD (less ideal)
  • Strong video specs expected:
  • 4K 120fps (possibly cropped)
  • Oversampled 4K60
  • Potentially 6K 30/60p
  • C-Log2 or C-Log3 support

Canonrumors also shared some tibdibts about the future R7II:

Canon EOS R7 Mark II rumored/speculated specs:

  • Expected release: ~4–6 months
  • Possibly non-stacked sensor
  • Larger body design similar to R6/R5 (more ergonomic for pros)
  • Potential upgrade to EVF and rear screen
  • No top-down LCD (expected in this range)
  • Needs to fix rolling shutter issues and shutter shock
  • Autofocus and high ISO quality are areas for improvement
  • Likely to require new Canon batteries
