Here is the image of the Zeiss Sonnar 55mm f/1.8 FE lens for the A7-A7r

This is likely the one prime most of you will buy along the A7-A7r camera! And according to our source it will cost 1100 Euro exactly! Yep, it’s quite a huge lens and you would expect a f/1.4 aperture for that. But the lens has been designed with one precise goal in mind. Deliver the best possible sharpness and contrast on all apertures and on the full image area. Sounds good!

Sony A7-A7r Leica killer(?) leaks in his full beauty.

What I imagined to be a bad looking camera looks far better once you see these full size images of the soon to be announced A7 and A7r E-mount Full Frame cameras! DOn’t think these will be Leica killers but it’s definitely nice to have the possibility to grab a $1700 camera(!) instead of the $7000 Leica M.

Specs reminder: In case you are confused by the many rumors I posted lately here are the SR5 info on the cameras:

First Sony A7 Full Frame E-mount camera images (and price leaked too)

And here it is the first Full Frame mirrorless camera that is not a $7000 rangefinder Leica! The image shows the RX1-OMD mixed design. This is the A7 (24MP camera) but there will be also an equal looking A7r version with 36MP and no AA filter. Along the two A7 cameras Sony will also launch the RX10 1 inch and incredible 24-200mm f/2.8 (constant aperture!) camera. All that nice stuff will be announced on Wednesday Oct 16 at 5-6am London time.

Quite exciting what Sony is going to launch soon!

First X-E2 image leak?

Fujirumors just posted that image of the new Fuji X-E2 camera. If the image is real than there is really no major optical difference between that one and the predecessor. Here are also some more specs:

0.08 sec autofocus speed
Exr II

XQ1
4 optical zoom

Reminder: The XQ1 is a compact and fixed lens camera!

New Panasonic GM1, Sony A7/A7r and Olympus miniOMD info!

Nest week we will have a triple announcement: On Wednesday the A7 and A7R Sony Full Frame E-mount cameras, on Wednesday the ultrasmall Panasonic GM1 and on Friday the new Fuji X-E2. What we also learned today is that Olympus will announced a new high-end compact with 1:1.7 inch sensor on October 29. Here are some new info:

Sony A7 and A7r:
1) AF is faster than the RX series but still not as fast as the best in the mirrorless world
2) A7 and A7r have focus peaking
3) eye tracking AF
4) they are about same size as the Olympus OMD series
5) There is an optional vertical grip
6) They have Wifi and NFC
7) no Tri Navi, They had scroll wheels in front and back (which were very much like nex-7?s) and an exposure comp wheel from RX1.
8) One source the body quality is very good and the camera had a Pentax LX feeling.
9) 1/8000 shutter speed
10) both have tiltatble screen

Panasonic GM1:
1) Same GX7 image processing engine and sensor
2) built-in Wi-Fi
3) Touch panel
4) New 12-32mm lens has about the same size as a 14mm f/2.5 lens
5) Body quality is very high (like the GX7)
6) Size is as small as the Panasonic LF1 or Sony RX100

Olympus (XZ-3?):
The mini OMD looking fixed zoom lens camera will be announced on October 29. I am yet not 100% sure about the sensor size but it should be 1/1.7 inch like the one used by the current Olympus XZ series. I call it mini OMD because it will look like a small OMD (and yes it has a built-in EVF in the middle). Reminder: The Panasonic Gm1 and 12-32mm announcement will happen next week on October 17 at 5-6am London time.
