And here we have the next new Samyang-Rokinon lens! After the 16mmf /2.0 image “leak” we now have the first video and images of the soon to be announced Rokinon 300mm f/6.3 mirrorless lens for Mirrorless systems. It has been posted by an official Asian Samyang retailer on facebook.

LOL, I have been right! The Leica Mini M is an APS-C sensor camera with fixed zoom lens! These are the specs:
– Leica Elmar 28-70mm f/3.5-6.4 (FF equivalent)
– 16,1 Megapixel APS-C sensor.
– external electronic viewfinder can be used
– Full Aluminum body
– FullHD recording
– Bundled with Photoshop Lightroom.

Sony is planing a real massive attack on the Full Frame mirrorless front. According to trusted sources Sony could launch two new A-mount and one new E-mount Full Frame cameras in 2014. Little is known about the cameras. They will feature a new generation 30+ Megapixel sensor and new advanced on sensor phase detection autofocus. The first camera to be announced will be one of the A-mount FF in early 2014. The other two could be announced at Photokina in September (2014!).
Sony is betting big on Mirrorless. This may be the one chance for them to finally grab some more significant market share in the Canonikan dominated High End FF market.
I really hope the rumor I got is wrong. Because it tells me that the new Leica Mini may be an APS-C compact camera with zoom lens. And not a compact Full Frame as (I) hoped. Anyway, let’s see ina few days if the rumor turns out to be correct…

The video on top shows the great Ricoh GR vs. Nikon Coolpix A Shootout made by the nice guys from TheCameraStoreTV.
With the newly announced Ricoh GR we now have many compact cameras having no Anti Aliasing filter on sensor. Three cameras, the Nikon Coolpix A, Sigma DP1 and Ricoh GR Merrill have been now tested by DSLRmagazine (google translation here). As you know having no AA filter causes the well known Moirè effect. So which camera suffers less form it? Easy guess you would say…it’s the foveon sensor from the Sigma of course! Too bad the Sigma sucks when it comes to ta
lk about handling and High ISO :(
DxOmark (Click here) tested the new Ricoh GR and as you see from the image on top it basically matches the image quality of the more expensive Nikon A. The Nikon A test can be read here.

Leica is teasing the launch of a new “mini M” Leica camera. That beaty will be announced on June 11. As you see it’s placed right between the Leica M and the X2 Micro M. It almost sounds like this could be a sort of fixed lens Full Frame camera like the Sony RX1. You have a good guess what this could be?
