Maybe finally some sign of life coming from OM Digital?
I don’t know if this is a joke or if it’s serious. It surely looks like they really mean it! Their teaser shows a sort of Leica M styled Hipstamatic camera that will be announced on December 14. There are no rumored specs a part of the fixed f/2.8 lens. But I am sur Leica lawyers are watching this closely for possible design patent infringements :)

PhileWeb chatted with the manager of one of the largest stores in Japan. He shared a couple of insights:
“What young people want is something that is easy to use. They have the impression that conventional cameras are difficult to use because they have to be configured in various ways. Smartphones can overturn that. Touch-operated devices like these are gaining popularity.
”There is a need for new cameras that are differentiated from smartphones. It is noteworthy that this is becoming evident.
My private thoughts:
CameraBeta heard rumors about a possible new OM-10 coming in early 2024. There are yet no rumored specs for this camera. We can only speculate this might be a small updated version of the current E-M10IV.
