Hasselblad posted one more “piece” of their new medium format mirrorless system camera. The new camera is 100% sure to be medium format. Moreover this camera is designed and produced in Sweden. So expect to pay quite a heavy price for it.

It’s also highly likely that the camera will use the Sony 50MP medium format sensor. You cannot cheat on economy of scale and make a new “unique” sensor for this camera :)

Ming Thein shares first small pic of the new Hasselblad mirrorless medium format camera

Hassleblad

Ming Thein shared that official Hasselblad invitation which shows a piece of the new camera they will announce on June 22. I cannot yet 100% confirm what the camera is about but this is likely to be the real thing:
– First Hasselblad mirrorless system camera
– Sony 50MP sensor (twice the area an the FF sensor)
– Built-in viewfinder

Hasselblad is teasing the event with the phrase “game changer in the world of photography”. Ming Thein also writes:

“let’s say I do have some knowledge about what this might be, and it’s at least twice as interesting as they promise:) Feel free to speculate away in the comments; I shall neither confirm nor deny…”

That sounds promising!!!

Fuji X-T2 will be announced on July 7 (and camera got spotted in Le Mans)

press-event

Fuji is sending out invitations for a press event on July 7. And it’s safe to say we are going to see the new X-T2 on that day. Fujirumors also found a Instagram photo of a Fuji photographer working with the new X-T2 in Le Mans. But by now we already saw the camera multiple times and there is little we don’t know about it.

Now let’s move on to some Fuji medium format camera rumor. That’s going to be quite interesting too!
