There is a new Pinhole lens you can buy through Kickstarter. The lens is nice and cute but I am still baffled by the fact that the makers raised 8 times the requested target of 20.000 Canadian Dollars.

CIPA released the April data and the trend is confirmed: The camera market is doing better than the previous year. While the compact camera market is on par with the previous year the system camera market is doing much better than 2016.
And if you look into the details of the data you can spot how the mirrorless market seems to be the real reason for the growth! DSLR shipment went down 10% while mirrorless shipments were nearly twice as much compared to April 2016!!!
Dpreview posted the Sigma Quattro H review. The praise the ultimate detail you get at Low ISO but still..this is a “complex” camera to live with:

This makes it easy to wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone already invested in the SA system and, perhaps for the first time, to suggest it’s worth a look for a broader audience than that. If you bear all the drawbacks in mind, it’s worth considering whether it’ll suit your type of photography.

Sony keeps having one product announcement after another. This week we are going to get a new compact camera. And looking at that Sony China teaser this promises to be something very new. Maybe a new RX APS-C camera or something like that?
