Canon EOS M6 tested at Dpreview and DxOmark
The Canon EOS-M6 got tested by DPreview and DxOmark.
Dpreview conclusion is:
Admittedly, if you’re not already bought into the Canon system, it is hard to ignore direct competitors that often pack in more features for similar money or similar feature for less; the EOS M6 ends up being a ‘premium’ option for those that really want it. Many of those rivals also have better-established lens ranges, if you don’t already have Canon lenses to adapt. But, in the end, if you do really want the EOS M6 you’ll be very happy with it: it’s a great camera in many respects. Even so, the lack of higher-end features combines with that premium price to keep the EOS M6 from earning our highest honors.
DxOmark conclusion is:
For enthusiasts wedded to the Canon system and looking for a small mirrorless camera to use with existing EF-M, EF-S, or EF-mount lenses, the EOS M6, alongside the EOS M5, offers the best features and image quality for a Canon hybrid to date. The compact size is perfect for slipping it into a small day bag for trips out, especially when coupled with the pancake-style 22mm EF-M prime lens. If you’re planning to shoot a lot outdoors in bright light, where glare can be a problem, the omission of a built-in EVF is problematic; this makes the M5 a better choice, but it’s bigger and bulkier. For those not committed to a particular brand, any of the Sony a6xxx-series mirrorless cameras offer the same compact styling as the EOS M6, but with the benefit of a built-in EVF, together with marginally better image quality, in roughly the same price bracket.

Sankei reports that there is a risk of a Nikon camera sales ban in USA
The Japanese news site Sankeibiz.jp reports that Nikon could risk a sales ban of their cameras on the USA if the patent infringement gets certified by the US authority. As you know there is an ongoing “patent war” between Nikon and Zeiss (Source: Dpreview).
If the ban is really going to happen it will be a devastating news for Nikon finance…which is already suffering because of the declining camera market.

The next bunch of cameras to be announced: E-M10III, new RX, new Leica
Nokishita shared the codes of cameras registered by various companies. We can expect at leats three mirrorless/compact cameras to be announced soon: A new Sony RX camera, the E-M10III and a new Leica:
Sigma will soon launch its first Full Frame autofocus lenses for mirrorless system
Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 and the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 via Camerasize
SonyAlphaRumors reported an interesting rumor: Sigma will soon launch it’s first Full Frame autofocus lenses for mirrorless system. The first lens will be a 35mm f/1.4 lens and the second will likely be a zoom lens. SAR reports:
The first lens is rumored to be a 35mm f/1.4 (or f/1.2) FE autofocus lens. The size will be somewhere in between the current Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 and the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8
Now of course we know there are only two Full Frame Mirrorless systems yet (Sony and Leica). But I guess these lenses will work on the smaller sensor systems too (Fuji, MFT, Canon). An interesting hypothesis is that maybe these lenses will work on the Fuji GFX system. After all it seems that most FF lenses do work fine on the GFX system too.
