The FCC agency posted a Ricoh document that also containes those images of the new Ricoh Theta V. But there seems to be nearly no difference in the look between the upcoming model and the current Theta cameras.

In a statement released to Dpreview Nikon debunked the rumors posted by Digitalkamera.de and said:
“Nikon continues to produce and sell the Nikon 1 line. We cannot comment on future product or speculation.”
Let’s see if there will be ever a new Nikon 1 camera…
We can finally see more of the new RED Hydrogen system camera phone…I actually don’t know how to call it :)

What Marques couldn’t show is the holographic feature. But RED promised to show a more finalized prototype in 1 month or so.
Overall this looks exciting and expensive!

CIPA released the June unit shipment report. There is good and bad news:
The Good news is that in June 2017 we sold far more cameras than in 2016. But to be fair 2016 was very bad also because of the Kumamoto earthquake aftermath.
The Bad news is that June 2017 still sold far less than in 2015.
To sum up, there is no more decline in the camera unit sales. But a real recovery is not to be expected.
The German photography site Digitalkamera reports that Nikon has decided to stop the production of the current Nikon 1 system cameras. It’s unclear if Nikon plans to announce a new Nikon 1 camera or if the whole system is now dead.
For sure Nikon plans to announce a new mirrorless system camera sometimes in 2018.
