Canonrumors first confirmed our rumors about a new September 4-5 announcement. And now they shared these unconfirmed Full Frame Mirrorless info:

  • Name: Canon EOS R
  • RF Mount (New mount, possible EF compatibility?)
  • No reports of new “RF” lenses being announced alongside the body.
  • Similar ergonomics to the EOS M50
  • Slightly larger body than the EOS M50
  • Will compete with the Sony A7R III & Nikon Z6
  • 24mp or 28mp (Two different reports)

1) Panasonic just launched this Photokina page. What are they coming up with? 43rumors reports this might be for a new G90 camera with GH5s sensor…
2) Sony is teasing an announcement for tomorrow at 1pm CET time. Expect compact and action cameras only. No E-mount gear yet (which will be announced shortly before Photokina)

Nikon confirms that both Higher and Lower End cameras are on roadmap

Nikon managers released various interview in Japan (Mynavi and DCwatch). And Nikon’s goal is clear: They want to expand the line up in both direction…higher and lower end models. The big question is if the lower end model will feature an APS-C sensor. I would prefer lower end models to still have an FF sensor. Otherwise Nikon would have to launch a new APS-C lens line too and it would mean another 2-3 before we get enough lenses.

Of course expect higher end models to have the dual slot card just liek this model:
