The new L-mount Lumix Cine Camera is coming this week?

Last week, a German YouTuber shared images of an unreleased compact cine camera fitted with a Viltrox PL-to-L mount adapter. After realizing the mistake, he re-uploaded the video with a larger blurred area to hide the details. Still, two key claims remain:

  • The camera will be announced this week.
  • He claims it’s neither a Canon nor the Lumix S1HII.

If this wasn’t just a diversion, the camera could be Panasonic’s upcoming full-frame model designed to rival the Sony FX3. I first heard whispers about such a camera back in April, though nothing was confirmed since then. It’s possible that it will feature the new S1II’s 24MP partially stacked sensor.

What do you think?

DJI’s First L-Mount Camera? Leaked Teaser Raises Eyebrows!

Until now, I honestly believed the rumors about a DJI full-frame mirrorless camera were nothing more than wild speculation. But today, two new hints surfaced — and they’re hard to ignore:

1. The Leaked Teaser

A well-known DJI influencer briefly shared a teaser for an upcoming DJI event on September 15. One of my readers managed to grab a quick (and rough) screenshot before it disappeared.
There’s not much to see, but the teaser’s vibe clearly hints at interchangeable lenses — and you can even spot the silhouette of what looks like a boxy FX3-style cine camera.

2. The YouTube Tester Clue

A German YouTuber recently posted a hands-on video with a new cine camera — but here’s the twist: he says it’s not from Canon, and the camera body is completely blurred out.

What isn’t hidden, though, is the Viltrox PL-to-L mount adapter he’s using — which strongly suggests this is an unreleased, ultra-compact L-mount cine camera.
Sure, it could be a new Panasonic… but what if it’s DJI?

While I’m still a bit skeptical, I have to admit I’m starting to take this a lot more seriously. And if it turns out to be true, this could be great news for the entire camera industry — because DJI entering the game would absolutely shake things up and force the traditional Japanese giants to push their innovation forward.

Here are the rumored DJI mirrorless camera specs:

  • Full Frame L-mount cine camera
  • Cine focused
  • Integrated viewfinder just like this Sony model (but less pronounced)
  • Hasselblad X2DII Color science and ICON menu
  • Announcement on September 15, 8am EST time

Blurred images of the new Canon C50, Nikon Zr or DJI?

A German youtuber shared those images of a blurred new camera that could be the Canon C50, Nikon Zr, or maybe that crazy rumored DJI? The only thing we learn from this is that the camera has a fully articulating screen :)

UPDATE: The Youtuber said it’s not a Canon.  So there is a 99% chance this is the NIkon Zr and a 1% chance this is a DJI.

Canon C50 specs:

  • 32 megapixel Full Frame sensor
  • Open Gate
  • Sony FX3 alike design
  • to be announced on September 9 at 3pm Berlin time

Thanks to the tipster!
