Fujirumors reports two GFX rumors:

1. The GFX100 Pixel Shift Firmware coming in Late November. It will allow you to take 400MP shots on your cat! :)
2. The new GFX camera that will be announced in early 2021 definitely has the same 102MP sensor of the GFX100.

SonyAlphaRumors reports that Sony will announce a new 16mm f/1.8 GM lens in 2021. It would become the fastest 16mm FF on the market. Yet the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 FE still beats it in terms of wide focal lengths.

Astrophotographers will love that lens.

CanonWatch reports that Canon has developed a new image sensor with these specifications:

• 21MP full frame sensor (6.4um)
• Global shutter
• 120dB dynamic range
• 120 fps
• Sensor based on the enhanced technology from the 2/3 inch GS sensor shown at ISSC 2017

CR reports that there might be two RF 35mm f/1.2L lens in development (one having Defocus Smoothing). And also two big telephoto are in the works. CanonWatch says this might be two 500mm and 300mm f/2.8 lenses.

Nokishita unveiled the new RF lens pricing:

• 50mm f/1.8 for $199
• 70-200mm f/4.0 for $1,599

Here are the leaked images of the new Panasonic LUMIX S 85mm f/1.8 lens. Nokishita reports the price will be 81,400 yen including Yodobashi tax, 74,000 yen for Bic Camera Group, 73,260 yen for Kitamura, etc. ($ 599 in the US).

Optical design of the 300mm f/2.8 FE

An area were Full Frame Mirrorless systems still lag behind their DSLR competition is the telephoto lens offerings. Sigma is now actively working to fill the gap and patented this new Sigma 300mm f/2.8 for mirrorless system cameras (which definitely means there will be an E and L-mount version).
