New NEX camera names leaked in Indonesia!

Sony really can’t stop to release new NEX cameras :) The Indonesian agency postel.go.id listed two new Sony NEX cameras having Wi Fi support. The NEX-5R and NEX-6. The cameras should have the following features:

NEX-5R: 180 degree flip screen (like the NEX-F3) and 16 Megapixel sensor and Wi Fi support
NEX-6: Built in Electronic viewfinder (lower resolution compared tot he NEX-7 viewfinder). Wi Fi support and price between NEX-7 and NEX-5R.

The cameras will be announced along two pancake zooms (yes pancake!) and a fast prime lens…all coming in September!

Nikon J2 coming mid August….

Nikonrumors reports that Nikon will announce a new Nikon J1 successor in mid August (the J2). There will be also some new mirrorless accessories, including an underwater housing and a new slimmer standard zoom. The j2 should only bring some minor improvements over the J1.

But I don’t think that’s all. I also heard about a possible high-end Nikon 1 model coming at Photokina. Anyway, right now I would be curious to know if Nikon is happy with their Nikon 1 system. Now that Canon came out with a similar sized camera having a much larger sensor size (and better image quality).

Sony: Two NEX cameras and three new NEX lenses in September. Oly: Four m43 cameras in one year.

We have a new bunch of rumors about Sony and Olympus!

Sony first: There will be two new NEX cameras in September, a new NEX-5F and another completely new NEX camera that will be the first of it’s series. Sadly we are not talking about a Full Frame NEX. I write sadly because this is what I am looking for :) Anyway, there will be also three new NEX lenses, two pancake zooms, the 16-50 and 11-18mm lenses and a new fast prime.

And now Olympus: We already know two new PEN cameras are coming soon (E-PM2 and E-PL5). But there will be a new OMD and another mysterious m43 camera coming in winter-spring 2012-2013. No news yet about the possible new Oly lenses…

You like that coming stuff?

Look at this: an open source concept video camera!

Apertus presented the Axiom concept video camera that could be launched in 2013. They hope to finance the project through Kickstarter: “We have actually been rather careful and secretive not to release too much information about the new camera on the Internet as we do not want to follow the unfortunately quite commmon practice of how other companies announce their products: they just promise you whatever you want to hear and a couple of years later they admit that this product is not ever going to see the light of the day. So we made sure that what we announce is solid and well thought through. But still a word of precaution: We will need your help to create Axiom, only if we manage to succeed with our kickstarter campaign we will be able to afford the development. Currently we are still working on preparing the material for the campaign, unfortunately its taking longer than we hoped it would – stay tuned.

Looks nice! But what kind of mount will it use???

Hasselblad with big announcement on September 18th. It is the “almost” medium format mirrorless camera?

Noisycameragot his hands on a Hasselblad message pointing out an invitation for a big product presentation on September 18th. The message says: “In 2002 at photokina Hasselblad launched the revolutionary H System that changed and shaped the medium format market of the new millennium. Embraced by professional and amateur photographers around the world, it is still the unsurpassed standard for craftsmanship and ultimate image quality. In 2012, 10 years later, our commitment to innovation, evolution and expanding to new horizons is as uncompromising as it has always been in the century long history of Hasselblad.”

A coupel of weeks ago CSCmagazine and some other rumors I got from my sources Hasselblad said that they will announce a Mirrorless camera featuring a sensor double the size of an FF sensor. It’s not an it’s something new. And unlike other Medium Format cameras that usually uses CCD sensors we have been told that this has a CMOS sensor. No info about the price but it will be expensive stuff for sure :)

Sigma: We will not make any mirrorless system camera.

A Sigma Manager stated in an interview at Xitek (Translation here) that they will never launch an own mirrorless system. But they will do lenses for other mirrorless systems instead.
