CanonWatch spotted that video showing a yet not announced Speed Booster adapter for the Canon EOS-M system! On Metabones website you can find NEX and X mount adapters only.
And by the way, Metabones isn’t the only manufacturer offering a “Speed Booster” solution. The Chinese company Mitakon now sold their first “Lens Turbo” adapters on .
Eagmi spotted a new Japanese Tamron patent describing a 35mm f/1.4 lens made for mirrorless systems. I really hope that lens will soon become a real product! It is yet unknown for which system they could release it. For now Tamron only made one lens, the 18-200mm for Sony NEX (here at Amazon).
The Sony RX100 showed us hot to make a “real compact” camera with larger sensor. And it sounds like Canon is going to make a competitor with the same size btu with even larger APS-C sensor! CanonWatch reports that “Canon may be working on a compact camera with a large sensor. Not a successor of the PowerShot G1 X (price & specs), but a camera like the PowerShot S110 (price & specs), just a bit a larger. The camera should have a fast lens and the new APS-C 18MP sensor featured on the Rebel Sl1/EOS 100D (price & specs), and the DIGIC 6 Image Processing Unit. No viewfinder. Pricing should be less than the PowerShot G1 X when it was released. We expect Canon to announce this camera at the end of Summer 2013.“
APS-C compact of the same size of the RX100? I have to see it to believe it!
Still no rumor from the Canon EOS-M mirrorless system. But Canon is lowering the price of the camera and you can now grab it with lens(!) for $399 only at .

Patrick at FujiRumors got feedback from trusted sources and they confirmed a new X entry level system camera is coming soon from Fuji. These are the key info:
– It will be announced in Summer
– It will be smaller than the current [shoplink 100016]Fuji X-E1[/shoplink]– It hess less controls and dials than the X-E1
– There is no built.in viewfinder
There is also an anonymosu (also not trusted source) that said that the Body + Lens price is around $550 and launch in July. For that price you get a lens and the X-trans sensor? If ture it would be easily a hotseller. But to be honest the “rumored” price sounds too low to be true.
Someone sent me this (fake) K-02 image. It has a viewfinder placed in the corner. That would certainly be a nice addition on the K-0 series. As you know the K-01 has been marked as discontinued but it has to be seen if a K-02 will ever be made or not.

Mobile01 posted this real Olympus E-P5 pictures! The camera clearly takes inspiration from the but unlike the PEN-F it comes without built-in EVF. The camera will be announced around May 10. It will come along three Black prime verisons (17mm, 45mm and 75mm) and the new external 1,3 Million dot VF-4 viewfinder.
