And finally Sony is waking up: We will get three new cameras soon:

  • A new ZV Full Frame E-mount camera on March 29
  • A new video-centric E-mount camera (no info yet about this one)
  • A new High End APS-C E-mount camera before summer

Nikon is considering making a Full Frame Z fc version!

Phototrend interviewed Keiji Oishi, head of the UX Planning department within the Imaging division of Nikon Corp. He said this:

As soon as we launched the Z fc, a lot of people were clamoring for an equivalent with a full-frame sensor. Of course, we can’t go into details about upcoming products, but we hear these requests and we think about the type of product that could fully meet them.

I believe this would be a great camera and sell really well!

Finally cameras: Both Sony and Nikon are likely to announce new cameras in March! Here is what to expect…

CP+ show has been a bit lame, with only a couple of lenses announced. Companies really want to announce their BIG stuff OFF such events to get the full spotlight. And Sony and Nikon will indeed have big announcements in March:

  1. The new Nikon Z 8 might be announced in March. Yifei reports that a big Nikon dealer has been called in for a meeting with Nikon.
  2. Sony will announce a new ZV Full Frame cameras. More details will be unveiled soon on this youtube channel.
