The whole photo industry is now changing: Also Panasonic will launch a new Full Frame mirrorless at Photokina!

This is only a rendering of a GH5 camera with Full Frame sensor

After Nikon and Canon we got a third manufacturer launching a new Full Frame mirrorless system camera: Panasonic is rumored to announce a prototype of their new FF mirrorless system camera on September 25!

The camera isn’t ready for market yet and will be launched on the market sometimes during the first half of 2019. There are no rumored specs but we now have a profoundly mystic question: What is Olympus going to do? Will they join the new Panasonic FF system or not?

If you want to discuss this new camera further join the new Panasonic Full Frame group on Facebook!

Hot!!!!! These are the lenses for the Canon EOS-R Full Frame mirrorless: 50mm f/1.2, 28-70mm f/2.0…terrific!

So folks, this is BIG news! Nokishita leaked what Canon will announce on September 5. And the lens line is terrific! Check out:

This kills the Nikon Z right now. What a massive lens lineup! It has tele lenses, fast primes and fast zooms right now! Join our Canon EOS R facebook group for more discussions!

UPDATE: If the 35mm f/1.8 lens has IS the camera is unlikely to have on sensor stabilization…that’s a minus compared to Sony and Nikon mirrorless cameras…

Nikon promises they will make lenses faster than f/0,95 for their new Z cameras!

As reported on Nikoneye we might get even faster than f/0,95 Nikkor lenses in the future! Nikon managers told at Imaging Resource

  • The amazing f/0.95 aperture of the coming 58mm lens is the starting point for super-aperture lenses, versus an end point! When I mentioned the f/0.95 aperture as a goal for the new mount, Mouri-san said that their goal was actually more ambitious than that, and that the 58/0.95 lens was just a “current point”.

Well that sounds ambitious! But Nikon didn’t tell us yet if it would be possible to add autofocus on such fast lenses. The 58mm f/0,95 that will be released in 2019 is manual focus only.

Is the Canon EOS R the answer to the Sony A7 and Nikon Z6?

Canonrumors first confirmed our rumors about a new September 4-5 announcement. And now they shared these unconfirmed Full Frame Mirrorless info:

  • Name: Canon EOS R
  • RF Mount (New mount, possible EF compatibility?)
  • No reports of new “RF” lenses being announced alongside the body.
  • Similar ergonomics to the EOS M50
  • Slightly larger body than the EOS M50
  • Will compete with the Sony A7R III & Nikon Z6
  • 24mp or 28mp (Two different reports)
  • Announcement September 5, 2018

Double countdown teaser from Sony and Panasonic!

1) Panasonic just launched this Photokina page. What are they coming up with? 43rumors reports this might be for a new G90 camera with GH5s sensor…
2) Sony is teasing an announcement for tomorrow at 1pm CET time. Expect compact and action cameras only. No E-mount gear yet (which will be announced shortly before Photokina)

Canon is expected to announce “something mirrorless” on September 5. Fuji is also expected to announce a new X-T3 and GFX50R soon…
