New “old” Sigma lenses for the Sony FE system
Sigma announced a list of new Sony FE lenses. But the big disappointment is that these are actually based on currently existing DSLR lenses. What Sigma did is “glue” a MC-11 adapter on them :)
The only real advantage seems to be that you don’t have to spend extra $$$ on the adapter and that these lenses can do AF-C on Sony cameras. All lenses are now listed at BHphoto with no info on pricing and shipment date.

Sony at last announced the new Sony A7III which you will be able to preorder from 10am NYC time at Amazon, BHphoto and Adorama.

Announced: New Canon EOS-M50
Canon finally announced the new EOS-M50. You can preorder it now at BHphoto and Adorama.

Tamron and Tokina announce their new lenses for the FE system

Tamron and Tokina are now heavily investing in the Sony FE system:
1) Tamron announced the development of the new 28-75mm f/2.8 FE lens. They say the image qaulity is on par with the 24-70mm Sony GM. The lens will ship out in late April
2) Tokina announced the 20mm f/2.0 FE autofocus lens.

Today Tamron announced the development of the new 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (press text on SonyAlphaRumors).
And Nokishita also leaked the image of a new Tokina 20mm f/2.0 autofocus lens for Sony. Those are the specs:
- Full size compatible AF lens for Sony E mount
- Lens configuration: 11 groups of 13
- Filter size: 62 mm
- Shortest shooting distance: 0.28 m
- Maximum shooting magnification: 1: 10.29
- Number of diaphragm blades: 9
- Size: 73.4 mm × 81.5 mm
- Weight: 464 g
- Expected release date: End of April 2018

RED and Foxconn partnership to create “affordable” 8K cameras

CEO Terry Gou from Foxconn told Nikkei that they partnered with RED:
“We will make cameras that will shoot professional-quality films in 8K resolution but at only a third of current prices and a third of current camera sizes,”
Many companies are planning to launch first 8K mirrorless camera by 2020. Just recently Panasonic announced the development of a new organic sensor with 8K and global shutter (details on 43rumors).
