There have been lots of new [shoplink 100018 ebay]Fuji X100[/shoplink] news and reviews. So let’s make a nice summary!

Electronista (Click here) wrote a Fuji X100 review: “As such, it’s easy to like the X100 and give it a good general recommendation. It’s absolutely essential to be aware of what the camera can do, but there’s so much power inside that it feels like the last compact camera you’d ever need. It almost pained us to have to hand the camera back, and that speaks volumes about what Fujifilm has done.

The Samsung 300mm f/2.8 is a REAL lens. And first 60mm macro samples.

Samsung confirmed to Amateur Photographer that the 300mm f/2.8 lens “leaked” inside an official Samsung video is a working prototype. And a spokesman for Samsung’s head office said that “there is no definitive plan to launch this lens into the NX system“.

P.S.: A beta tester of the NX 60mm/f2.8 Macro lens posted quick review with some pictures: http://www.slrclub.com/bbs/vx2.php?id=newproduct_samsung&no=2737

Is the Samsung medium format mirrorless camera coming for real?

One of our trusted Samsung sources just sent us that image which includes some description about the Samsung camera prototypes. The real AMAZING news is that Samsung is really working on a large format sensor system! Those cameras are more than prototypes! The source told me that Samsung will release both leaked models, the Leica X1 styled and the Hasselblad styled cameras. The source couldn’t give me specs of the [shoplink 100117 ebay]Hasselblad[/shoplink] styled camera but told me that “it will be a very simple system, with AF/MF option and Auto mode, so simple maybe means that it will be cheaper than other MF cameras.”. Samsung would be the first manufacturer to produce a larger than MFT/APS-C sensor sized mirrorless camera!

Stay tuned on MirrorlessRumors! We hope to learn more about the medium format camera soon!

Quesabesde (Click here) posted the Fuji X100 review. Diglloyd (Click here) updated the Fuji X100 review. And Photocomment (Click here) posted a new review. All three articles come more or less to the same conclusion. Nice design, lens and sensor, But lots of practical flaws (like the autofocusing issue). The good news is that Amazon (Click here) is back accepting preorders , May a good sign that there is a new shipment of X100 cameras coming in Northamerica.
