Google Translation for Canon EIS
EIS is in English “Electro Image System” in the acronym, as distinct from the “Electro Optical System” (EOS), is focused on the integration of photography video series cameras.
First EIS 60 cameras will be developed using the latest Canon 22 million pixels of small size back-illuminated CMOS, sensor size is the whole site is just 1 / 4 of that 18mmX12mm, the relative coefficient of 135 1:2 lens, the image resolution of striking 5760 * 3840, starting the auxiliary lens 12-75/2.8-4 IS macro (through the button to switch to 1:2 magnification, the equivalent of full-size 1:1) and the 75-300/3.5-5.6 IS. Are retractable lens.
Pixel-wide continuous shooting speed of machine 6fps, 5.5 megapixel continuous shooting speed of up to 20fps, the new design of CMOS support for pixel sampling merger, 5.5 million pixel sampling can get excellent high sensitivity degree of effect, iso 6400 into practical use.
Video sample support 1920 * 1080/30P/24P/25P, video sampling with three times the pixel fusion, nine points for each integration point as a sample, as were the direct hardware support, so fast, the camera video effects than ever before.
Pixel-wide sampling of native ISO 100, pixel and video modes combined native ISO of 400. 2 * 2 pixels to support the merger and the merger of 3 * 3.
ISO support 100-6400, extension mode support 25.50 and 12800,25600
Canon will launch a series of EIS camera lens, known to include R & D program, including the lens 5mm / 4 fisheye ,8-25mm / 4 wide-angle zoom lens, 14mm / 2 biscuit head, 25mm/1.2 biscuit head, 45mm / 1.5 standard biscuit head, 65mm/2.0 Macro (1:1, 2:1 is equivalent to full-size)
Canon will launch an EF-EIS adaptor to support autofocus on EF lenses.
EIS series of cameras designed for dual SD memory card, double the shutter button, each for storing video and photos, supports video capture video capture process at any time without video capture still photos, video and photos of different buttons.”

of course, that would be dependent on the price lol.

I love parody. But I really can’t stand that it retouches NEX to make such an ugly design.

2 years ago |No matter if Canon (or somebody else) makes another mirrorless camera, I am bagging them TO INCLUDE ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER!!!!! I am age 54 and my eyes are no longer good for looking at the LCDs at arm length. Whenever I do it, I feel a pain in my eyes. (I should have to switch eyeglasses all the time; that`s why I hate cell phones, TV remotes etc.)
I am using Canon G10, and altogether with G11 and now G12 I consider it a great pocketable camera, but all manufacturers seam to neglect population niche I belong. And I am not alone, I am sure. Sony NEX, Samsung NX100, Lumix GF1, Nikon P7000…. All without EVF! (I don`t like additional bulk (and price) of optional EVF).
I don`t need built-in flash all the time (I can have one in my pocket), but I do need EVF almost all the time, altogether with articulated LCD for special situations (if space in the compact camera body is the problem). EVF would really make a new G12 a must have camera (at least for me), and without EVF, it for me it is expencive camera of very limited use.

Otherwise, use a camera like your G12 with OVF, or an X100 with ‘hybrid’ OVF cum electronic overlay. You’re not going to get a full blown EVF in a GF1 or NX100 style body.

11 months ago |Hi Bill, if I go with GH12 or any similar camera, I am packing much bulkier package than Canon G12 with EVF (if there should be one). With that combo I should have compact body with lens that retracts into it, and that is the idea of compact camera as I see it. You can keep it in your pocket all the time if you want, wherever you go. And G12`s peep-hole is a shit. Besides it`s bad for precise framing of your picture, You have no control of camera through it (no data in it, so I still have to switch my glasses each time I want to take a shot, as I have to take a look at cameras LCD).
With EVF everything is OK with just one pair of eye-glasses that I regularly wear. I need EVF almost each time I take a picture, and electronic flash only seldom, so can have one compact in another pocket. In-camera electronic flash and a peep-hole finder together occupy enough space for a good EVF. I have an old Oly C730, a 3Mpx camera WITH EVF, and I like it just for that. No matter that it is a law resolution one.
It`s obvious that you have young eyes so can`t understand the severity of the problem.
