Canon will soon present a new Super 35mm 4K CMOS sensor having the following key features:
- Global Shutter
- High Resolution (exact Megapixel count has not been disclosed yet)
- 4 pixel readout for high dynamic range (92dB at a standard 30fps frame rate)
Above you can see a comparison between the new Canon sensor with Global Shutter compared with a conventional Rolling Shutter sensor. It is yet unclear when the new sensor will be production ready.
