Leica M-E gets DxOmarked. And a new Leica Monochrome review.

DxOmark published the full Leica M-E sensor test. And as you see from the screenshot on top it can’t match the best FF sensors from Nikon and Canon. That said I am very curious to see how good the newer Leica M and the Leica Monochrome sensors are.

Speaking about the Monochrome, there is a full review at ThePhoBlographer that writes: “It’s hard for me to come up with anything poor to say about a camera that consistently “wow’ed” me. I had a bigger grin on my face after shooting with this than I have in a long time, and that certainly has to stand for something.

I have “no grin” thinking on the $8000 I have to spend for a Monochrome Leica :)

Three new prime Zeiss for NEX and Fuji X to be announced soon?

Sounds like the Sony NEX and Fuji X camera owners can soon be very happy! Zeiss is likely to going to announce the three new prime lenses for the E and X-mount system. As you know all three lenses will have full electronic aperture and focusing support. And all lenses will be priced a little bit above $1,000 (or 1000 Euro).

The lenses will be the 12mm f/2.8, 32mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/2.8. Announced in April and likely available in store this Summer. As a reminder, Zeiss said that there will be no Micro Four Thirds mount version. Also the lenses will not cover the Full Frame sensor area. This may be an interesting news for Sony users because Sony will launch the Sony NEX-FF in 2014.
