Canon teases something BIG!

CanonWatch spotted that important Canon teaser posted on the New York Time! For weeks now it’s rumored Canon will announce a new High Megapixel camera. And Canon itself also said they could launch a new “mirrorless” mount system. So maybe a serious FF mirrorless is finally coming for real?

I believe that’s a “normal” DSLR camera with around 50MP. But I hope to be proved wrong :)

This is the teaser text:

THIS MESSAGE GOES
OUT TO FEAR, DOUBT,
LOGIC AND REASON.

To excuses, distractions, procrastination, inertia, critics, cynics,
realists, pessimists, resistance, conventional wisdom.
To the peanut gallery, the so-called experts, the good enoughs,
the urges to pass the buck,
the easy way out, the snooze button, the panic button,
and to that little voice in the back of your head that says,
“It can’t be done.”
To all of it, we apologize.

Because we don’t see what you see.

AT CANON, WE SEE IMPOSSIBLE

Sony “silently” introduced the curved sensor on the KW1. Curved Full Frame RX coming soon!

The first curved sensor camera is that “Selfie” Sony KW1 camera made for the Asian market.

A couple of months ago Sony announced that they had two curved sensors ready fro mass production. The first one is made for compact cameras and Mr.Aoki just confirmed the “weird” KW1 selfie camera is the first one using that!

The second curved sensor is Full Frame and now it’s really easy to guess it’s coming very soon! This should be the long time rumored Full Frame RX with 30+ Megapixel curved sensor and fixed lens 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss!

Will Samsung launch a NX300 monochrome sensor camera at CP+ in February?

Almost a year ago the first rumor about a Samsung Black and White sensor camera surfaced. And it seems like the chance is getting higher and higher to see that for real! Photorumors reports a 20 megapixel NX300 monochrome camera could be announced soon. The camera basically uses the same 20 Megapixel sensor of the current NX300 but gets rid of the color array and AA filter.

That camera would be the first monochrome (non-Leica) mirrorless camera on market. And I certainly like the idea to have such a camera in my bag!

Fuji says again “No” to Full Frame. Confirms Higher Resolution APS-C sensors are likely to come.

Once again Fuji confirmed they have no intentions to challenge Sony on the Full Frame front yet. Mr Iida (picture on top) from Fuji releases some info about the future strategy in an interview at Dpreview.

The focus from now on will be on offering higher resolution APS-C sensors with increased High-ISO performance and speed. And while Fuji will always focus on the still aspects of the camera they recognize they will have to offer a better video quality too.

The next Fuji X camera to be released should be the X-PRO 2. But there is still no word about when this is going to ahppen in 2015.

Samsung 2015 roadmap may includes the NX400 (two versions) and three lenses.

The Samsung NX1 sensor

This could be a possible 2015 Samsung product launch roadmap according to messages shared by sources to us and Photorumors.

Thee should be the three new lenses launched in 2015:

– Samsung 16-80mm f/4 OIS
– Samsung S 24mm f/1.4 ED
– Samsung S 11-24mm f/2.8 ED OIS

And there will be two compact NX300 successor

– NX400 without EVF
– NX400EVF with EVF

Both NX400 cameras will feature the same NX1 sensor and of course 4K recording.

Next cameras on the horizon: E-M5 coming soon. X-PRO2 will be “worth the wait”

Well, this is a rumor site after all and we do not care a lot about existing cameras :)  So let’s talk about what’s coming as next!

First, Olympus manager Haruo said it loud and clear: The E-M5 successor is coming soon! (Source: 43rumors).

Second, the nice Fuji guys duo confirmed the X-PRO2 is on the roadmap and that it will be “worth the long wait”. It will not be a Full Frame camera. (Source: Fujirumors).

And now mark my words: I heard from trusted sources both cameras use a very new sensor tech. Mark my words. One day you will remember you heard it from me first. Will spill out more as soon as I get info about that new “tech”.
