Two new full size X PRO 1 images.

Our friends over at Photorumors found other two images of the Fuji X Pro 1 camera. It’s really a poor man’s Leica camera

And I am so surprised to see that Amazon didn’t remove the lens preorder links. Is that all part of a “rumor” startegy?

Are Fuji branded C-mount adapters far behind?
Will older cine glass (Kern, Angeniuex, Century) work with such a short flange/focal plane distance?
Can Metabones/Kipon/etc. develop this stuff early, without Fuji’s approval?

5 months ago |I bet the body even won’t have the price of the Nex-7.
I used to buy Fujinon large format lenses for my Sinar few years ago : excellent lenses.
I won’t feel confuse to to use an all-electronic menu, using traditionnal setting (aperture ring on the lens, etc…) then it’s great, simply great. Feels solid. Without to know anything preciselly about this camera, I like it very much. I’m so frustrated not to be able to use M-Mount lenses on the Nex-7, to wait for a possibly expectable Nex-6 (Nex-7 body with Nex-5N sensor), this camera seems perfect for what I need. Great job Fuji !

5 months ago |From the first information the camera looks really and the Fuji lenses are out of question. Everybody who worked with a X-Pan, GX67 or 617 knows, that Fuji could build perfect lenses.
BUT: This camera is a great tool for travel, street and journalism. A cheaper Leica M. But there are no super wideangle lenses. A 27mm (FF equiv.) is ok, but nothing special.
I bought a G3 this summer and I don´t want to miss the 9-18 (FF 18-36) anymore. If Fuji can provide a FF20 or FF17 we can talk again, but until then, no chance…

5 months ago |This would be the perfect camera if it has a fully electronic viewfinder capability. Does it have the switchable hybrid viewfinder of the X100? The changing of viewfinder optical magnification only works for fixed focal length lenses of a rather narrow range. For zoom lenses, super wide angle, and long telephoto, the optical viewfinder does not work. It will have same limitations as a Leica if it does not have the hybrid viewfinder with full EVF capability.

5 months ago |And we all know how badly Leica suffered with such a limitation..
Honestly, this is what the world of photography needs, it’s basically a more up to date Leica with no doubt more functions, probably better IQ and cheaper, i’ll give it a month or two but considering 3 months ago I was about to put down $12,000 on a Leica M9 and 2 lens’s, this is just… perfect, it’s like a camera company totally listened to us instead of getting a bit of the idea and then running with it.

5 months ago |The above comments amaze me. Fuji does everything right giving us exactly what we’ve been asking for, and nobody has anything but negativity and skepticism. Very sad. Personally after shooting for 30 years Leica is still way out of my justified price range. Epson never updated the RD1, Contax failed to release a digital G3, Sony’s NEX camers’s are pretty sweet, but who wants to Plunk a big, ugly silver lens on their NEX 7 and the M lenses suffer from corner color shift, Nikon failed to give us what we want, Samsung makes refrigerators (C’ mon), Canon is dragging their feet and Leica costs as much as a car! Seriously, this Fuji camera is a miracle, and if it performs, I’m getting one and all the lenses regardless of the cost. I lugged a huge case of DSLR gear to Southeast Asia not too long ago and never again. WAKE UP people, it won’t get any better than this!

5 months ago |Sure it will, when Fuji will come out with a FF one, next year. If their current prices are an indication, it will cost about $2,500 and it will indeed be an M9 killer.
