Olympus E-M5 successor to be announced within the next 4-6 weeks!

Image on top shows the current E-M5 (not much will change with the new OMD)

We are going to have a great start in 2014! Fuji and Olympus will be the first companies announcing some great new mirrorless camera. Today we can share that 99% save rumor about the next Olympus camera:

It’s going to be a new entry level OMD camera which will replace the glorious E-M5. The E-M5 will still remain for sale for quite a long time and with some heavy discounts. The new OMD (name E-M10?) will feature the same E-m5 sensor which means it will NOT support PDAF. But it will feature the same new E-M1 imaging processor. What is not known yet is if the new OMD will get rid of the AA filter just like the E-M1 did.

The camera will be announced in January already!

Stay tuned on MR to not miss any rumor about the soon to be announced Olympus, Fuji, Sony and Samsung cameras ;)
