Reuters reports: “The company will price the mirrorless camera plus lens at 70,000 yen-100,000 yen ($900-$1,300), which is on a par with rivals’ offerings.“. But as you see form the image on top Nikon just released an official statement saying that “we didn’t release any information”.
If the camera has a 2,7x crop sensor that price range may be a bit to high or not? Anyway, let’s see what Nikon will announce on September 21!

Mayby they have got a totally new idea, but I fear it will be just anoter mirrorless system and many people will buy it just because of the name

9 months ago |I agree that the price may be a bit too high, but with the same reasoning I would consider that my GH2 should be cheaper than the Canon 60D, which is not. Why did I buy the Panasonic, if it offered a smaller sensor for a similar price? Mainly for the size of the camera. Nikon probably also considers (rightly) that their brand will help them to keep high margins
