NEX-C3 specs and future NEX lenses.

And here is the (leaked) future of the NEX system! You already saw the pictures of the NEX-C3 and 30mm macro but now we also got the full detailed specs:
NEX-C3:
16 megapixel sensor,
surprise: 200-12800 ISO (where is the ISO 100?)
HD video recording (why no FullHD?)
25 AF
same 3inch LCD as the NEX-5
The camera will also have the new picture effects (the NEX-3 and NEX-5 will get them with a firmware update)
The battery life has been increased by 20% compared to the battery life of the NEX-5
Price $599
30mm f/3.5 macro
designed with 7 lens elements in 6 groups
one of them is an ED lens and three of them are aspherical
Minimum focusing distance is 10cm
filter size 49mm
weight 138g.
Price 249 Euro
There will be six more NEX lenses to come until 2012 (See picture on top)
A Sony portrait lens 50mm f/1.8
The 24mm f/1.7 Zeiss
The telephoto zoom lens (should be 55-200mm f/4-5.6)
A medium telephoto lens
The Sony G standard zoom
A Sony wide angle zoom.

3 years ago |That 50mm f/1.8 is HUGE!
disappointed
3 years ago |Ugh this is so frustrating!
What is the purpose of miniaturizing and squeezing every last millimeter out of the camera body size when the lenses are all so HUGE?
Make a small, fast pancake lens to go with your small camera (like the universally lauded Lumix 20mm f/1.7) and the world will beat a path to your door.

3 years ago |Sorry guys physically not possible due to sensor size and then SONY has to cover the APS-C image circle !
In other words APSC is bigger than u4/3 so bigger lens have to be…

3 years ago |The added captioning is in line with Sony information released at Photokina last year, but recent leaks have shown the 30mm macro to be much larger. Does this mean the 30mm & 50mm captions should be reversed, or just that one lens is different to the mockups?
Also there is not that much difference in sensor size between m43 & DX/APS-C, and the lens flange distances of m42 & NEX are close. If Sony wanted to produce compact lenses it IS possible.

3 years ago |While height of APS-C sensor isn’t much any bigger than 43 sensor its width is about one third wider and unless heavy software corrections are used that means lot more image circle area needing correcting of various lens aberrations. (which increase something like exponentially with distance from image circle’s center)
Remember that also Samsung is using APS-C sensor and have same problem of big lens size compared to body.

I know it’s manual focus, but it’s still significantly smaller than the Sony NEX 50mm f/1.8, while being 1/2 stop faster and covering a 36x24mm imaging frame.
Samsung’s NX lenses are not big, nowhere near as big as Sony’s. Have you seen a Samsung NX 30mm f/2 or 20mm f/2.8? They are very compact.

3 years ago |Sony originally said four NEX lenses in 2011, three in 2012. Have both the Zeiss 24mm and the portrait lens slipped back a year? And as the 24mm was mooted for a kit option for the NEX-7, does this imply that body is also delayed?

3 years ago |the rumor author just messed up the dates. Four lenses will come in 2011 and 3 (so far) are planed for 2012
