3 months ago |How are they “throwing away the expensive optics”? It comes with a sensor. that sensor needs optics. The sensor cant be swapped into a smart phone surely.

3 months ago |Not a color filter. That is actual infrared footage- promise! Also, there is no color filter that would even remotely be able to guess what the temperature value of each pixel is. But anyway, I assure you, that is real infrared footage.

3 months ago |What I find interesting is use of the smart phone and image processing being done in software on your cell phone or tablet. This looks like a new way to make cameras and process images. Question is can this method be transferred to Point and shoot MFT, APS-C, or Full Frame formats and will it lower the cost of camera gear!
