Let’s drop the bomb: New Samsung Full Frame NX-R to come in March?
It was back in 2008 when Samsung Manager Kyong-Kook Shin suggested that “the firm is actively pursuing development of a full-frame CMOS sensor intended for use in a professional camera” (Source AP). But at that time they thought they would launch it as a DSLR model.
According to a new anonymous source Samsung secretly worked on the development of a new Full Frame mirrorless camera that will be launched in March! If that is true they will beat on time both Sony and Fuji that are rumored to launched their FF mirrorless systems in late 2013 – early 2014. The new camera will be named Samsung NX-R. The name once popped up inside the Samsung support database (now removed).

But rhe rhing ia anypne can make a 24mp full feame xmoa.senaor now but it is not about megapixels and even full frame itia.about thw holy trinity which is proceasing dynamic range and thw most important one xolor. Sonya color keeps getting daeker and darker and leas.clean except for rhe nex6 which they cleaned up micely. Olympus is winning in thw dynamic range easily and with an m4/3 sensor at that! And fuji lacks decent proceasing as well as sigma.despite the fact that sigma has one of rhw aharpest aensora out there with thw dp2m with apsc sensor that outresolves the new fuji full frame rx1. My point is that rhey need to get the colo processing and noise under.control.first then improve rhw synamic.range. and use the m240 as you template rhose imagea look great. It is a very exciting time to be into digital.cameras as the technology impp ia just starting to find its strid in the race against analog film quality

5 months ago |A bomb? How? Of course samsung will release a full frame camera, it’s a no brainer. They are the kind of company that release every form factor and spec of every single electronic consumer device available, throwing cheap shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Cheap cameras, phones, TVs, computers, fridges, toasters, washing machines, dish washers, tablets, air conditioners etc etc etc.

4 months ago |I have the Samsung GX10 and love love love my camera it is just as good as any Nikon or Canon no wait better than their cameras for the same price. I have been complemented on it and love the shots I get. My only issue is it isn’t that great in low light you crank up the ISO past 800 and the noise is awful. I have been waiting for Samsung to bring out a FF DSLR as I am not a lover of either of the big named makes. If they can sort the noise issue out I am definitely buying one as an upgrade. Can’t wait until March.
