2 years ago |I would almost never use a flash on a cam like this. Plus, if u want stabilization, they have a larger lens with that option. The goal of this lens is small size.

The weight is an important selling point for me, and this one looks pretty good so far.

2 years ago |I suppose the goal is to make it small and inexpensive. But once you have added the flash, the EVF, and some lenses that actually allow more than 5 photons at a time, it is no longer small or inexpensive. But it still has too many pixels, too much noise, too much DoF, not enough dynamic range, and a bad viewfinder. Pointless.

Except for the marginally better sensor and excellent LCD this camera will loose in almost every other aspect to an E-P2 or a GF1 and these are already growing old…
I expected a lot better from Samsung namely a good EVF and IBIS but all the models so far won’t even give Sony a run for it’s money…

2 years ago |Body looks pretty nice. I’m really hoping that someone can put full-manual 1080P in one of these slimmer bodies someday though.

2 years ago |Although if this camera has manual controls over video and 24fps and 60fps, I will be much more interested, even if it is just 720 p. If the video is good and they offered it as a kit with the two primes I would definitely buy it. But I’m guessing you can only get it with the compact zoom. And the video is probably gonna be fairly basic. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the full specs are.

2 years ago |No flash, no stereo audio recording, no IOS in lens and the same dog of a sensor found in the NX10 which is poor at high ISO?
Totally pointless release which misses the boat. Why buy this when there’s better M4/3′s cameras out there with better features and lens selection? It’s not like its larger sensor can outperform the M4/3′s sensors since it’s rubbish anyway.

2 years ago |Agreed. I was more excited about NX100 when it was a rumor. I need body flash. Or at least a flash that is compact. Look at the Fl-14 for e-p1,2… it is huge. I would only buy a camera with no flash if there was a portable (READ: NO BATTERY.. powered by camera) option to use flash.
Yes, I am talking about a smaller, underpowered flash but I’m a simple consumer who is not making a living from photographs.
Camera looks good but no flash = no dice. Plus the NX10 IQ is unimpressive. With new price drops its looking like it will be e-pl1 for me haha. After all this waiting…

2 years ago |No flash is no big deal for me. Most in-built flashes are lousy, slow sync units with low GNs and uneven illumination anyway. Give me an external unit with bounce, swivel and FP-sync any day. PS If it doesn’t have all 3, the flash is useless to me and I won’t buy one. Remote trigger/control would be nice, too.
Nice zoom range on the kit lens, and very compact, in keeping with the theme of the camera. Bit slow, though. Don’t really miss the OIS. Grip (or lack thereof) looks worrying – the GF1 was hard enough to use with its ridge and thumb rest. This doesn’t even look like it has that.
Looks like a solid, capable unit. Not a game-changer like the NEX or Sony SLTs, but definitely a worthwhile entry into the market.
